I'm so excited to be a part of this organization and to see it growing. What could be more important than loving on and helping young girls during this crazy and unexpected time in their lives. CAPS inspires me to reach out.

i want to support CAPS because this organization is here to serve the needs of woman who find themselves in a position of an unplanned pregnancy. They offer free songrams, free counseling, there goal is to give love an acceptance unconditionally. The biggest reason is because this organization gives the baby the best chance at life.

my experience is indirect. I know that if this organization didn't exist they would be many many babies that wouldn't exist.

I was concerned about the struggle we, as women, go through when faced with pregnancy unplanned. What am I going to do? How can I support this child? What are others going to think of me? How can I get out of this mess? Who can I talk to without the whole world knowing my business? Where can I go for help? Why is this happening to me? When am I going to learn?
I found a great place to learn, and be formally trained, to help other women answer all of these questions and make well informed, confident decisions about their individual situations- College Area Pregnancy Services, (CAPS).
CAPS strives to re-enforce women in all phases of their lives, from Spiritual to education and employment choices, love and marriage, family development, and especially in their time of need during pregnancy.
And, for women who are looking forward to pregnancy and need a positive affirmation and some resources to help, CAPS is a welcoming place to visit.
CAPS offer free counseling, pregnancy test/verification, ultra sound and photos, and many support services, and material aid.

I've personally experienced the results of clients in seeing their anxiety reduced, helping them focus and come to conclusions for their needs and follow through with their plans.

If I had to make changes to CAPS, I would like to see more donations come in to purchase the latest ultra sound machine by Toshiba.

I am currently in the training process to become a volunteer peer counselor with CAPS. I was amazed at the thoroughness of the 8-week classroom training and even more amazed at how much I learned about myself during that time. The training is meant to teach the basics of being a good counselor - and it definitely does that - but it also lead to a lot of growth in my relationships both to God and to other people.
It has been a blessing to see the dedication of the staff members and the volunteers to the cause of helping women through unplanned pregnancies, to each other, and to Christ. I am looking forward to being part of this organization in whatever capacity I can for as long as I can. CAPS is a blessing to the San Diego community and the Lord is using this organization for much good.

I recently volunteered my time at CAPS while completing my nursing clinicals for my bachelors program. Everyone on the staff was friendly, welcoming, kind-hearted, enthusiastic, and very professional. I have never worked with such an amazing group of dedicated volunteers who care so much about their community and their mission.

The joy on the faces of the women and their family members when seeing their growing babies in their bellies. CAPS provides this amazing experience to all of their clients free of charge.

The only change I would make would be to keep the clinic open for longer hours so that even more women in the community can benefit from their services.

I have been volunteering as a nurse at CAPS for over a year, and I am humbled and blessed to be part of an organization that lovingly serves young women who find themselves in a vulnerable and difficult situation.
CAPS ministers these women with compassion, kindness, and respect.
This organization provides free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and counseling. The goal is to help these women choose life and carry their pregnancies to term. CAPS provides resources and encouragement during their pregnancies with follow-up care and counseling after they give birth.
CAPS is a wonderful organization to be a part of!

I was a model for the nurses to get their re-certification. They were super friendly when I came in and didn't mind at all that I had my two other children there with me. I was a little disappointed that they could not give me a definite answer as to the gender of the baby, but they were able to get some good pictures of the "area" so I could make my own guess.
Overall, it was a nice experience and I would definitely recommend people to this place.

CAPS is a great service provider for women who find themselves in an unplanned situation of being pregnant or think they might be pregnant. They provide counseling, support, free pregnancy tests, and free sonograms. Also providing post abortion counseling. They are here to serve.

As a long time resident of San Diego, I am so appreciative of what CAPS is offering women in desperate circumstances. They provide free pregnancy tests,high quality ultra sounds, counseling, practical help for immediate needs and much more. Women are welcomed into an environment of love and acceptance, not judgment, where true help and education is offered. The staff is highly committed to the cause and vision, which is felt immediately when one walks through the door.
