I was speechless upon attending my first CoachArt event. I went to the art gala featuring the works of the CoachArt kids. Simply amazing describes it best. Their talent was phenomenal - and so were the kids. The young talent I met there that evening was unforgettable. Talented, poised, confident, joyous, and excited. Despite their circumstances, the best of them shined that night, inspiring and motivating all who were present. Equally incredible was the staff of CoachArt and the volunteers. Their passion and commitment to the kids and the mission of the organization left an indelible mark on me. My second event was the CoachArt mixer for volunteers. I loved meeting everyone and was impressed by the talents/skill they offered to the kids of CoachArt. I met artists, writers and even a chess player! How cool is this! Great job CoachArt.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

attending the CoachArt art show by seeing the work of the kids and the joy on their faces.

Working with CoachArt is an experience like no other. As a volunteer, I received the opportunity to teach an underprivileged young boy about the art of filmmaking. Just seeing his focus as I was explaining what different camera angles are was quite an inspiration to me. I would absolutely love to work with CoachArt at any time during the future.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

watching how the children can repeat things that they have learned while I volunteer to teach them.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Do more events at minority based venues.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The respect from all of the staff members and the willingness to learn from all of the children.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

awesome. Everyone is trying to accomplish the same goals so it make my job easier when I have total support.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand to the four corners of the United States and even reach out overseas. More money means more facilities, more equipment, more people and more results.

Ways to make it better...

I was able to show my student different places around the great city of Los Angeles.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

its non exposure to ethnic ideals.

One thing I'd also say is that...

teaching does not always have to be about arts and sports but it should sometimes include learning about our fellow human beings.

All organizations do great things, but CoachArt goes above and beyond. I've personally seen what great it does by volunteering in the office as well as have a sibling that was serviced by this great non-profit. The employees and volunteers really care about what they're doing which shows through their hard work and the patients, siblings, and families that are serviced by them.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My brother was a student of CoachArt in the start of the non-profit for about three or four years. He received free art lessons which were a great distraction from his life full of doctor and hospital visits.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

No changes necessary; the staff and organization are doing great!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

seeing the reactions of the kids and families that benefit from this great cause.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

excellent. They devote all their free time to the organization and are always there supporting it.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

service so many more families than it already is. Kids across the country could have that one hour lesson a week which would give them a break from their doctor and hospital visit-filled lives.

Ways to make it better...

My experience was great, no complaints!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the current economic condition. With people being laid off from jobs there are tons of non-profits just like CoachArt that won't receive as much donations as they could be.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Considering the economy's condition, this organization is doing a great job!
