I am living at Clearwater in Fontana. I am 79 years old, and a Korean war Veteran. My first few weeks here were not so good-I needed to go to rehab for about six months, but Clearwater took me back when I was clean and ready to get back in the world. I like it here at the Fontana house. It is well run, the house manager takes charge pretty well, and I work well with him. I also help the Cook with the meals, and I really like the quick response time from management when the House lets them know something is needed. They also help me out when I need to go somewhere, they just manage somehow to fit me into their schedule, especially if it is for a Dr.s appointment or necessary office visits-SSI, etc. Right now, the Fontana house is the only one of the three that Clearwater runs that is all male, and I think that's working out wonderfully!! I am an old soldier, and "barracks life" works out well for me. We all in the house get along pretty well, and we keep things clean and orderly, both in the sleeping quarters, and the common living areas. All in all, I would recommend this group to my fellow Veterans, and others, as a great way to live, and help others.

Hello, I started at Clearwater in 2007. I had called almost every body I could find that might help me, because I was homeless and sick but nobody seemed able to help-even city or county. Then I called Clearwater's number that I got from a city agency, and the Director of the program came to see me! 2 hours later I was allowed to become part of the program. With their help I was able to get on my feet, get back to my schooling, and as a Navy veteran, I was able to re-connect with the V. A. , where I had been needing to be seen for quite a while for several reasons. Since then, Clearwater put me in touch with Behavioral Health for additional services. Since then, I have been able to serve as a volunteer as back up for staff in support of many and varied areas. I have my self confidence back and I know that with the help and guidance of Clearwater, things are only going to get better!

I first started with this company in 2011 and I have only learned to appreciate it more as time has gone by!! This organization/program really does a great job of taking in and caring for the elderly and disabled, and the homeless, in 5 Counties in California, San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, Los Angeles, and San Diego. I and many others have benefited greatly from this program, in terms of basic needs--shelter and food-- and help with guiding folks through the SSI offices and paperwork, transpo when needed to Dr.s, counseling, rides to AA and other meetings, and church/synagog/mosque for those who are religious. It also gives the people a chance to feel better about themselves by allowing, as able and appropriate, for folks to volunteer with/for other sometimes more needful clients. I would highly recommend this program for any who are in need!

I have not seen much need for change--"if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

This is the most crooked organization that I know of. I want to see where they spend their money for so called elder care or for veterans. This is a flat out sham where some people (looks like one family) is getting some big bucks as rip off artists. I'm not through checking yopu out and will file complaints with the IRS and FBI. You ought to be ashamed.
