Review from Guidestar
November 17, 2013

CCHR is not a front group. A front group is, by definition, a group that hides its connection with another group. CCHR has said on its website, print, television & radio interviews that it was founded by the Church of Scientology in 1969. We made that point very clear and spread it far and wide.

If you want to know why "SamRhine" wrote what he did in his review look no further than freedommag(.)org.

This is a front group for the Church of Scientology.

Please do your homework and get all the facts about what Scientology is and what it is not. You can find information on the internet. You can look at the Church of Scientology's website to see what they say they are and then you can
ask former members.

Google: Lisa McPherson, Jason Beghe, Tory Magoo, Maria Pia Gardini, Marc Headley, Debbie Cook, Mike Rinder, Marty Rathbun, Leah Remini, Nancy Many, Jefferson Hawkins, Paulette Cooper.

Google: Operation Snow White

Google: Narconon - another front group for the Church of Scientology - see what has happened in Canada and the United States - Georgia and Oklahoma drug rehab centers. See the lawsuits

Read about L Ron Hubbard and Jack Parson's affiliation with Aleistar Crowley.

Read the books: "Inside Scientology" by Janet Reitman
and "Going Clear" by Lawrence Wright
and "Beyond Belief" by Jenna Miscavige Hill

Ask The Church of Scientology to show you their financials.

Google: Lawrence Brennan's affidavit and read about the "religious cloaking" he participated in when he helped write "What is Scientology".

Good luck!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Investigate the real statistics of what they actually do in relationship to the money the Church of Scientology collects. Here is a link: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.religion.scientology/msg/0d0118e5630b36c7?hl=en See the money collected and ask Scientology where is it? Fair question for a non-profit that has basically free labor and charges its parishoner's hundreds of thousands of dollars for services on top of donating to IAS and various other front groups such as CCHR, Narconon.

They have been very helpful in investigating and exposing psychiatric violations of human rights in the state of Florida. They work shoulder-to-shoulder with like-minded groups and individuals who share a common purpose to clean up the field of mental health. I find it amazing how many people use this resource who are truly in need.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

helping those who have experienced, themselves or through a family member, inproper psychiatric care, overdose of drugs, child suicide while on a psychiatric medication and more. They help educate their community on their rights aw well.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

inform more people about this organization.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

helping others, truly in need.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

just as nice as their staff.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

prevent more psychiatric abuse versus helping those who are already victims.

Ways to make it better...

I really cannot think of anything negative. Their executive director is just a joy to work with!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

getting more volunteers.

One thing I'd also say is that...

if anyone is looking to volunteer for a great cause, this is it!
