Founded in 1987, SingersMarin provides excellent music services to Marin County, California. We fill a need for music education of our youth, since California public schools have cut a disproportionate amount of music education from all public schools. SingersMarin offers the choral experience to approximately 100 youth and 80 adults each year, gives back to the community through concerts performed for the elderly and ill and offers special performances to centers for children with special needs, as well as provides the general public with accessible, high quality choral music. "Appreciating that music is the language of the soul, through our singing we will nurture people of all ages as we touch the heart with beauty and uplift the spirit with song."
SingersMarin includes seven different singing groups, separated by age and skill level: Caroling Kids, Starlights, Comets, Celestial Voices, les etoiles, Wings of Song, A Joyful Sound!. Wings of Song is an all female chorus that sings a mixed repertoire of traditional and contemporary music. Les etoiles is an award winning all female teen chorus. The 6-8 year old children participate in a non-audition chorus called Caroling Kids in the fall and Twinkling Stars in the spring. The 9 - 12 year olds have the choice of auditioning for our select chorus, Celestial Voices, or joining the non-audition chorus for their age group, Starlights. A Joyful Sound! performs music a wide variety of music and encourages family participation, and in response to recent events, focuses on promoting world harmony. Holiday Singers is a men's choral group that operates seasonally, joining Wings of Song for our Holiday Concerts. All of our choruses perform for those in need in our community: the elderly, special needs children and patients who are confined.

jsanchez's Review for Choral Singers of Marin
Singers Marin brings several wonderful concerts, both small and large, to our community each year. Our audiences value the professional skill of the director (Jan Pedersen-Schiff), and the quality of the voices, especially in the Wings of Song chorus. Wings of Song performs twice a year for us in our large Auditorium and also in our Health Care center serving long term care and rehab patients. Especially to this second group, quality live music is an incredibly meaningful gift to share. Smaller choruses of children also do short informal performances in our Library and Personalized Care areas to the delight of all. A wonderful group to be involved with and we're lucky to be a beneficiary of their considerable talent and generosity.
