Children's Medical Aid Foundation (CMAF) is like the little engine that CAN. Operating on a small budget and no paid staff, CMAF is making a significant impact on the lives of impoverished families in Nepal, both through its Corrective Surgery Program and medical clinic development projects. Founder and CEO Carol Vernal has made this work her life's passion. She is to be commended for the committed relationships and trust she has built with Nepalese government agencies, NGOs and communities.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
having worked with them for more than a year, and seeing more than 100 children whose lives have been transformed through corrective surgery. No other organization provides the type of services provided by CMAF.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
increase the number of medical team members participating in the corrective surgery program so that more children could be served.
