I have been fortunate enough to attend and participate in a number of Children Creating Bridges projects over the past couple of years. They have a wide variety of domestic and international projects, including Warm Caps for Babies, Global Journey Through Music, Free Yoga, Book Donation, Ethiopia Outreach, Iraqi Refugee Crisis in Syria to name a few. Every project, activities and event has been well organized and beautifully executed. Wendy Keslick, the director, is passionate and hard working. She and the whole CCB board look for ways to help make the world a better place and does everything they can to make it happen. CCB is an amazing organization. They deserve all of the recognition and support they can get.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the fun I have had. Even hard work is enjoyable when you know it is for such a good cause.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

passionate and caring.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

accomplish all of it goals! Okay, maybe not, but it would go so far. They would build an orphange for children in Ethiopia, send hats and books to children everywhere, and launch and fund new programs that I may not even be able to imagine.

My adventure with CCB started a couple years ago during a conversation happened beetween Wendy(founder) and me.I was so touched and inspired about her passion for humanitarian actions. So I decided to donate and volunteer for CCB whenever I could.Despite the tough time ,children are seeking our help because they are "the future" and without them there is no future for us.My biggest concern is to help for achieving the children dream(better living).Children Creating Bridges is involving in many projects(orphanage,refugees..) in Syria,Iraqi,Ethiopia by doing fund raising events, workshops etc.My hope is to see one day CCB nominate as CNN hero.

I got introduced to Children Creating Bridges during a conversation with the founder, Wendy. Her passion for the cause inspired me to volunteer for CCB in whichever way I could. The idea of helping children to bridge any need they have and helping them have a better future was a big reason for me to join CCB. CCB is involved in various projects including these in Iraq and Ethiopia. I have volunteered with CCB for the past couple of years and have helped them with their fund raising events; doing workshops and helping with whatever I can. I hope to see CCB grow and achieve bigger goals.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

passionate about the cause and willing to do anything for the progress of the organization and promotion of the cause

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

really make a difference in the lives of children in need of support to build their future.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time to dedicate to the organization

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

being able to promote itself and steady funding of some kind.

One thing I'd also say is that...

My experience with Childern Creating Bridges is that it is a fantastic orgination! They are doing amazing things to help children. I love all the activites they have, and they have so many ways to help that you can always find something you like in order to help them! My personal experience is that for the last two years I have participated in the Women's Triathlon with them! I never thought I could do a triathlon but having the organization behind me pushing me I was not only able to finish I now love it! I love crossing that finish line knowing I did a triathlon and helped raise money for an incredible organiation!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The pictures that are brought back from the orphanges. The kids are smiling in all of them, because of the supplies this orginazation gives them! It makes you feel like this organization is making a positive difference in their lives!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The benefit of knowing I'm helping children that are in desperate need of it!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Always helpful and welcoming!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Build a brand new orphange in Ethiopia with everything they need!

So far my experiences with Children creating bridges have ranged from donating money, attending events, and volunteering. I donated a small amount of money in 2009. Wendy invited me to an event last summer, I believe it was the annual report, but I forget what the actual name of the event was. I was overwhelmed with the stories and with what they are trying to achieve. I volunteered some of my time, not enough, but some to help paint their retail store. I then attended a fund raiser for haiti relief at the store. I have met many wonderful people, and heard some fascinating stories. Frankly, I met people that I never would have had any chance to encounter in my daily life. I do not know how much impact they are making, but the effort and passion they put into it is truely amazing.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have met some syrian refugees that were relocated to the United States.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I really can't make an informed opinion, to me they are doing great

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The heart worming stories, and the true passion and caring they have for what they do.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I have met people ranging from the highest person in the non-profit to other voluteers like me.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Save many familys, help keep thousands of kids safe and healthy, change the lives of many!

Ways to make it better...

I had found out about it sooner

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Time and money - what they do involves alot of red tape, and costs alot of money

One thing I'd also say is that...

Children Creating Bridges is an organization that is making a difference for children locally and globally through activities that engage children and adults. Children Creating Bridges has given me the opportunity to channel my personal talents and interests into work that enhances the greater good. One of my favorite CCB activities is knitting caps for babies all over the world to help reduce infant mortality rates. With that activity I get to use my creativity and recreation to help others, and I get to teach the skill to others young and old. I especially love the fact that the activity raises the awareness of young people in my area about those less fortunate than they are!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The expressions of recognition in the faces of local young people when they learn about the struggles of third world children and how efforts on thier parts can make life better for those less fortunate than they.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The chance to focus my talents and interests toward enhancing and sometimes saving the lives of people in the world who are struggling to live and to thrive.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Diverse and engaged! All ages! Fun to work with!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

SO MUCH MORE!!!!! Volunteers could become paid staffers, and the work that the foundation does could increase 10 fold. More children and adults could be engaged in cultural and service projects, awareness would be raised and people would be helped!
