We have noticed some feral cats roaming our neighborhood. After some research, I came across Central TX Feline Rescue online and found they had a lot of resources and tips. I emailed Elizabeth, the founder, and she let me know that not only would they be able to get the cats neutered and spayed, but they could also provide a volunteer trapper. She has been great to work with. Very responsive, very nice, and has gone above and beyond trying to help me and also providing the best situation for these cats.

CTFR saved us from a situation that had no apparent solution. We had a population of feral cats on our property that was sure to grow in number, but we could find no organization that would take them for adoption. Putting them down was not an option for us. CTFR helped us trap, spay and neuter, vaccinate and recover them. Now after three years our colony has remained stable at six cats. We can't imagine our home without them, and we are so grateful to CTFR for providing this loving and humane solution.

I first came across Central Texas Feline Rescue while working with a client that needed help with their feral feline colony. They were about to loose their home but kept spending money on feeding and caring for their ever growing cat population. Immediately, volunteers went out and started the process of getting all of the cats fixed. I believe they even provided some food for them. It brought great comfort and relief to my clients who themselves had big hearts for these cats. Than when my own feral population started getting out of control due to many new kittens I contacted CTFR myself. It is amazing the personal time and energy the volunteers put into caring for these animals. They go beyond what I expected and it feels great knowing that someone else is there to help care for the cats. It is obvious the love and big hearts that the volunteers have for ferals. For example, I had a big tomcat that had a broken canine. He needed surgery to fix the tooth so he could eat. They helped me find a vet that would do it for a discount and than Elizabeth and her husband volunteered to take the tomcat to the vet to get the care he needs. Like I said, above and beyond. I will be forever greatful to CTFR for their help. And so will the cats!

They have helped spay and neuter the cat population at my home which will lower the amount of kitties and improve their overall chances for a good and healthy life.

Because I have friends who volunteer with CTFR, I have been aware of their good work for a long time and have contributed to their charity. Recently, a friend found two feral kittens near her house who were very young and in need of foster care. CTFR helped me find foster care for the two kittens, who are now on their way to getting permanent homes. This is a wonderful organization, so necessary with the amount of cats and kittens who are born each year with no one to care for them.

Central Texas Feline Rescue was amazing. The volunteer that helped me was friendly and dependable and answered all of the questions I had throughout the process. She was patient, returning a few times to catch the shiest cat, and I am sincerely glad that I called!

Central Texas Feline Rescue is amazing. Their tireless dedication, compassion and committment to helping homeless kitties never faulters. I am very expereinced with working with feral and stray animals. I know what it takes to TNRM (trap, neuter, release and manage) both feral cat colonies and feral dog colonies. They work is more than most imagine...the job never ends. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was made aware of a feral cat colony 4 hours from where I live which needed immediate intervention. I sent out multiple requests, asked for advice, etc...as I needed some one to do the actual "leg work" for me. Although, I did get a few opinions and helpful advice, Central Texas Feline Rescue stepped up to the task. They worked until all cats were trapped, tested for diseases, received medical care, were fixed and re-released back into their territory for management. Currently, I have someone providing daily food and water; however, Central Feline Rescue has agreed once the person is no longer avaialbe, they will take over the daily managment of these beautiful and deserving kitties. Wow....what heart and dedication they have. They do all this work on a shoestring budget and ask for little in return. If you are looking for a great and worthy non-profit to support, this is the one! They could use donations for all the work they do to support the kitties in need. Thank you, Central Texas Feline Rescue....we couldn't have done it without you!!!

helping kitties. They are amazing!!!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I wouldn't change a thing, but I would find a way for them to get more money for their work with ferals/strays.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their dedication to cats!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Great!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

More than we can comprehend. They would save so many animals who have been given an unfair deal in life at the hands of careless people and nature...There are millions of innocent animals who need our love and support....that money would save millions.

Ways to make it better...

I could have been there working side by side with them.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Limited Funds....

One thing I'd also say is that...

I am grateful and blessed to have met those who a part of Central Texas Feline Rescue.
