Central New England Equine Rescue was founded in 2003, we grew out of the need to rescue from slaughter and find adoptive homes for the ever-increasing number of abandoned and improperly cared for horses. Our mission at Central New England Equine Rescue,Inc is to rescue and rehabilitate horses, restoring them to their natural health and good spirit. Our volunteers provide a safe environment for healing. We have implemented an educational program on the proper care of horses to aid in the prevention of abuse and cruelty in the Northeast.

We are an all volunteer organization that rescues abused and abandoned horses; we search out the appropriate adoptive home. Central New England Equine Rescue, Inc. participates in nationwide rescues of Premarin foals, shipping them from slaughter houses in other parts of the country and from Canada into our nurturing environment where they can heal. We rescue and provide direct care for horses and all their needs. We are funded solely through tax deductible contributions.Educational Program for community in place. Working with city youth and with 4-H clubs. Preventing abuse and neglect of the horse and all creatures whenever and wherever possible.
