I have supported many veteran's and environmental organizations over the years, and the Center for Biological Diversity has consistently put my money to good use with a high degree of efficiency. They effectively use legal challenges to keep government agencies such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service honest, prevent urban sprawl, protect natural resources, and prevent the decline of imperiled species. The Center for Biological Diversity is smaller than the bigger and better known environmental groups, but their impact is far greater on a dollar for dollar basis in my opinion.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the fact that they understand how important our natural resources are and are working hard to protect them. One example their efforts to prevent unsustainable use of groundwater in Nevada.

Great organization. They are doing great work, opening people's eyes to many environmental problems, and keeping corporations and the government accountable for irresponsible behaviour. They are the only conservation organization to address the prickly issue of human overpopulation, which I believe is the root cause of almost all environmental problems. They are also personable and quick to respond to questions or comments about their work. They are my Green Choice.

I'm really insync with their mission--biological diversity. It sums up everything that I feel about the environment. Also, their staff is very helpful with questions.

As someone who cares deeply about the survival of all wildlife and the preservation of our environment, I support the work of the Center for Biological Diversity as this is the organization that is working, tiredlessly, to preserve our endangered species (animals, birds and fish) througout our country and also fights for the preservation of the environments that are crucial for the survival of all animal species throughout every state in the USA. Their work is important as their successes in the USA are reflected around the world.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the states of New York, Louisiana and California as they have spearheaded programs to protect endangered animal and plant species and their environments in each of these states in the USA- with great success in all cases.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Continue with all mailings and notifications for needed actions.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

This organization has the experience, personnel and legislative expertise to help to protect and save endangered animal, plant and fish species and their environemnts. They work to get the job completed, successfully - for the good of the animal.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very knowledgable in how to protect endangered animals and their environemnts and how to promote protection via court suits against a state or a governing body throughout the USA.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Use it all to ensure permanent protection for all wildlife and the environemnts that are needed for the survival of the animal or plant species. They would also ensure that the protections were permanent.

Ways to make it better...

Keep as it is - I have no complaints, they are doing a great job.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

to be able to continue taking all measures - environmental or legislative to ensure protection of animals and plants and their environments. They must continue to put needed actions as letters to their supporters as this would also attract new supporters.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I hope that they are able to continue their much needed work for the good of our country, its endangered animals and environments.

The Center for Biological Diversity has long been successful by forcing the laws protecting species and habitat to be followed. They are my environmental heros to the Nth degree. If they were not out there in the trenches doing the job we would have far more species in trouble than we already do.

CBD is willing to take on unpopular causes that are nonetheless right, such as population control and stopping the slaughter of wolves. I am always impressed when I receive their eNews by the number of accomplishments since the last newsletter. They really get results!

CBD is by far my favorite charity. They use the law to make the planet a more life-friendly place, focusing on species protection, slowing global warming, and stopping environmentally perilous development. They are also extremely effective, winning approximately 90% of all the cases they file. I give generously and often.

I support a number of environmental organizations but the Center for Biological Diversity is clearly one of the most effective. Given my limited means, I donate as much as I can to them. As far as I know, they are the only environmental organization that has seriously taken on THE major environmental (as well as social) issue of our times: OVERPOPULATION.
