The Center for Biological Diversity is a powerhouse. Despite comparatively limited funding, they go head-to-head against some of the most powerful and wealthy organizations and/or companies in the world. They fight - and often WIN. They fight for all animals and plants, even those that slip under the radar or aren't 'glamorous'. I donate to them monthly and will continue to do so. They are making such a dramatic impact - I'm profoundly proud of them and the work they do.

The Center for Biological Diversity stands up for all of those that either can not speak or just do not know the right channels to go through. They honestly CARE about keeping our earth and all it's inhabitants safe and healthy. Without their help we would be even deeper into trouble! Thank GOD for honest caring companies like them! They give us all hope for our future and they do it freely and from the heart! How many companies can you say that about?

The Center is the most dedicated group which I have ever had the pleasure of belonging to. They defend the issues and educate us the general public in the issues which are the most at stake. Their newsletter is one which I look forward to as they cover briefly but still in depth the causes which matter most to me and the public. Without the Center we would be lacking in information and direction. When I have had a reason to call them, they are most knowledgable on the issue, polite, head me in the correct direction and also guide me in what manner I should proceed to be the most effective. Long live the Center for Biological Diversity.

CBD does some of the best work advocating for wildlife and wilderness. The premise that there must be bio-diversity for the planet to survive is one of the keys to the success of their work, I think. They also have a great legal team, ready to go to court to fight for these things. I'm very proud to be a supporter and I use their information to educate others.

I've been receiving The Center's Newsletter and petitions for just a short time but am impressed with the comprehensive and efficent ways they handle the world's eco-events, good ,bad, and downright ugly. The organization does what it asks volunteers and petition signers to do - 'TAKE ACTION'. Happy I found them through my Care2 affiliation, where I see many petitions from various organizations. Wow - they are non-profit too!

I feel this is a very important organization, with great information and updates on environmental issues. I just wish humans would be protectors of our only earth instead of destroyers. Good luck!

When I think about courage and the spirit to go out and fight for what is right, I think of the Center for Biological Diversity. Time and again, as I have done my small part by taking action, I read about your winning suits against incredible odds to defend those who are in peril from ignorance and greed. What an awesome organization you are! You are the model for what a defender of the Earth needs to be. Please, don't stop and don't give up, ever.

Every day I receive urgent messages from an overplus of environmental organizations. Every one speaks with urgency, some with panic, some with overtones of doom, some with stridency. All speak from threatened refuges. The Center for Biological Diversity stands out for its mature tone and measured recommendations, backed up with tested reports. Because of this, it has achieved lasting results and significant gains in our management of our resources, rather than mere ticks on a totem board.

THE CENTER FOR BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY IS ONE OF THE BEST NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS & I TRULY APPRECIATE ALL THEIR EFFORTS. THEY MAKE IT EASY FOR THE PUBLIC TO INFORMED AND PARTICIPATE ON ISSUES MOST IMPORTANT TO US. THEIR NEWS LETTER CUTS TO THE CHASE, WITH EASY ACCESS TO SIGN PETITIONS, WHILE TEMPORARILLY KEEPING OUR PERSONAL INFO LOCKED IN, TO PARTICIPATE ON MORE THAN 1 PETITIONS. THEIR WRITERS MAKE IT EASY TO GET THE BASIC BUT MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION IN EITHER THE HEADLINE OR FIRST PARAGRAPH, WHICH IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. PLUS I AM UNAWARE OF EXUBERANT SALARIES BEING PAID OUT TO BOARD MEMBERS & SUCH, WHICH IS BEYOND REFRESHING. I LOOK FORWARD TO THEIR CONTINUED EFFORTS AND BEING A STRONG SUPPORTER.

BEING INFORMED ON MANY OF THE ISSUES I VERY MUCH SUPPORT AND APPRECIATE THE UPDATES, WITH BOTH GOOD & BAD NEWS.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

COVER THE HORRORS OF THE WILD HORSE ROUND UP, & MAKE MORE PUBLIC THE ISSUES THAT NEED THE VOTERS SUPPORT (NOT JUST IT'S MEMBERS)

I used to donate to many environmental groups and over the years I have seen that my dollars go furthest with the Center for Biological Diversity. Then I had the opportunity to see our local representative from CBD in action and I was completely blown away by his ability to recall facts, present his arguments in a non-confrontational way, and present compelling outlines for better choices. That made a believer of me and caused me to sign up for monthly donations!

They stopped the wind turbines on Vulcan Mountain and have slowed progress on the horrible Sunrise Powerlink (powerscam) locally.

They are dong it right. I don't think I would make any changes.
