As a cancer VICTOR/SURVIVOR for over 45 years I am so grateful that this organisation exists for all cancer patients and families to learn that cancer is a survivable disease and not a death sentence filling patients with fear. It is through information, education and increased knowledge and loving support we learn to trust that we can take charge of our own health and lives. see mystory on their website blog. I learned about BeatCancer.org while attending a conference on preventative health care. I found the people to be extremely attentive, passionate and helpful. Their educational materials and research are thorough. I'm grateful to have these resources to share with my own clients. I am also committed to following preventative care rather than the traditional American sick care system. Thank you BeatCancer.org for giving us choices.
I really loved the holistic cancer education course that I did , it was far better than expected and I think they are making an excellent work to educate in natural aproach and non toxic treatments the Cancer
I was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer in May 2014. I went thru chemo, bilateral mastectomy and radiation for my treatment. As of today, I have no cancer in my body. When I got thru all of the treatment, I knew that I needed to do my part to ensure that cancer doesn't come back. I knew that my diet would have to change and that exercise needed to be a part of my everyday life. I got 30lbs. off of my body and adopted a good plant based diet and low fat meats. But knowing that our food sources/supplies are riddled with pesticides and so many hidden dangers left me hungry for more knowledge about what I was putting into my body. I was invited to a conference called, Killing Cancer With Your Fork by Dr. Silberstein. I was stunned by the knowledge and all of the resources that Beat Cancer.org supplied. I thank them for all they do!
This organization consistently provides the public with constructive ideas in the prevention of and treatment for disease through its insistence on natural remedies. I truly believe that all the "medicines" needed by most of us most of the time are found in the produce and fish aisles of neighborhood supermarkets.
I have found their little education booklets on cancer and what healthy food looks like so helpful with the people I am a health coach for. The several times I have contacted them, their response time to questions is impressive for a non-profit organization
I don't have cancer, but I know a lot about it. That's what happens when someone you love, like my soul mate, gets cancer. It's a road you don't want to go down, but it is definitely one you don't want to travel without knowledge. BeatCancer.org and its Center for Advancement in Cancer Education is the first place I would turn if cancer ever inserts itself into my life again. Perhaps, I could have extended the life of my loved one with all the answers and compassion I would have found here that I didn't find elsewhere.
Research has not been the answer to cancer. Raising billions of dollars to keep organizations going does not cure cancer. If it did, it would have already happened. Education and prevention is the cure for cancer. This organization is the ONLY one I would contribute money to for the prevention of cancer.
Thank you for being there on the tough road when patients and caregivers need you. I hope to enroll in your Holistic Cancer Coaching program in the near future. That is the best and most heartfelt initiative I have ever seen in the fight against cancer. Ironically, without knowing about this organization and its mission, it is what I concluded was the number one thing missing from cancer patient care when I went through it personally with my soul mate. I wrote the following in my 2011 award-winning book titled "A Dose of Reality...Losing William to the Big Business of Cancer in America---"In the best of all worlds, it would be wonderful to be able to enlist the services of a knowledgeable, independent, and open-minded group of collaborative patient advocates for hire during such a stressful time."
It takes the pain of loss to be so forward thinking. Dr. Susan Silberstein has been there. So have I. She is now a light for others, as I hope to be with my book and as a coach on her team.
Even the bravest and most well-informed among us tremble when we hear "Diagnosis: Cancer." Although vast amounts of information about various treatments for various forms of cancer are available, much of it is unintelligible to even the smartest laypersons. BeatCancer.org professionals have provided our family with sound personalized counseling for two family members with different forms of cancer, and by doing so have given us a helpful information and a balanced perspective for making difficult decisions.
I am a big supporter of this wonderful passionate organization. Dr. Silberstein is an amazing person to devote her life to helping others. She is very powerful in her knowledge and I'm truly touched that she touches so many people's lives helping them without expecting anything in return. That is unbelievable in our world today and I'm blessed to have met the people in my life that made me aware of this company. I've shared this company with many people that I know going through or having family/friends going through health challenges. I wish everyone could see her speak and just take one suggestion from her to start the change in creating a healthier life. Her words, Prevention is the Cure, had impacted my life and the way our family lives!
I have heard Dr. Silberstein speak on several occasions and I always learn something new that can help me and my business. I have watched over and over again people who have been touched by Cancer see there is hope and options too. I have personally lost people I love to this terrible disease too. And I know the option they were given were not the best options. Thank you for educating and giving us options and hope too.
