I happen to glance at your website the other day and saw that you offer a health certification, which I am very interested and is what prompted me to write to you. I saw the name Randi Shayne and all sorts of old memories started to come forth. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and was very afraid. I somehow found this place via the internet and was hooked up with Randi. She was there for me to provide support along the way and I will never forget how amazing she was. In fact, I still have all my original notes i took from the many conversations I had with her. I will never forget how fabulous she was. It is because of her that I got on the path of good nutrition and developed my passion for health and wellness. Thank you Randi and thank you CACE for still being there.

BeatCancer has grown from a small grassroots nonprofit over 35 years and is currently poised to expand it's services and impact in a big way. I am very impressed with the organization's flexible leadership, it's dynamic and important programs, and it's vision for the future.

There are few people I know who have not had someone they love affected by cancer. The team at BeatCancer is knowledgeable, compassionate and kind-hearted, and they truly give of themselves in so many ways. I am happy to be a part of this organization and welcome the opportunity to grow with them!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

invest in their infrastructure so they can serve more people effectively.

I'm very proud of my sister, Maria Fiorello, for her undaunting compassion & support of this organization. Having lost both of our parents to this dreaded disease only empowers her strive to help victims to hopefully overcome their disease. If God forbid I was struck with this disease I feel very confident & hopeful knowing Maria is an integral part of Beat Cancer; Thank God for this organization which gives hope to the many victims so they can see the light in their struggle & believe they can once again achieve their health.

I admire Susan for her passion to help others and for her willingness to travel far and wide to spread the news. I believe the most profound thing I remember from her is "Cancer is just a word, it's not a sentence.". I share with so many people about Dr. Silberstein and CACE in order that some will find hope.

I have learned so much from Dr. Susan Silberstein about diet and beating cancer which I have been able to share with others! What a powerful message she has to share.

Hello, my name is Patricia Dean, and I was a Volunteer at Center for the Advancement in Cancer Education is 2007. I know and believe in my heart that the positive principles that the Center stand for really do improve the quality of life for people. Because of the education, team work and great spirit of this organization I will be forever blessed.

People need to know that they can make positive choices that affect them even if everything that is going on around them is negative.

Sincerely
Pat Dean

I love the resource materials available. They have been invaluable. I have changed my diet completely and Susan helped be a catalyst for this change.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

There are already a ton of online resources but I would say keep adding more.

The guidance and support Susan Silberstein and her team provided my husband & I after his diagnosis with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer was amazing. They immediately lead us in the right direction for health care recommendations, eating and drinking preferences, and necessary exercise. Susan even calling him to offer encouragement.
I recommend to anyone diagnosed with cancer make this your first call.

Despite all kinds of regular checkups by all kinds of doctors ovarian cancer stage three hit me at age 74 with my first indication of a problem a modest pain in my lower abdomen. Within three weeks of diagnosis I had to have major surgery and then chemotherapy. I was weak, scared, overwhelmed and clueless. I finally remembered that there was this amazing resource within a five minute drive of my house and called the Center. I was fortunate enough to be able to arrange a consultation with Susan Silberstein within a matter of several weeks.
She suggested a number of things to consider and how to manage the effects of the chemotherapy and I had two more follow up consultations in that first year. Susan was so knowledgeable, so kind, so practical, and so honest that I knew I gcould trust her and that gave me hope. It has taken time to implement all of her dietary suggestions, which I know are critical, but I do better all the time and I am so grateful for the resources the Center offers. The printed materials are invaluable and reasonably priced. I recommend the Center whenever I learn of someone facing cancer who I think would be willing to be open to r the kind of help the Center offers.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

wave a magic wand so that they did not have to spend so much energy raising money but could use that time to help even more people.

This organization is one of the most amazing I have ever seen. The level of compassion combined with expertise is beyond extraordinary. There are so many great non profits and those focused on helping people with disease, but this organization truly gets to the root cause of a persons illness. They look at all aspects of an individual to help them heal. By transforming someone's health and life, they are truly transforming the well being of the world. I recommend all my clients who are dealing with cancer to this incredible organization.
