This is an amazing organization that helps stop the stray cat population from being so high. CatVando takes in homeless cats and gets them neutered so that they cannot keep having kittens. This is a huge impact on having a bunch cats on the loose with no homes, and shes raising all of the money on her own and doing this out of the kindness of her heart.

CatVando is a 5 stars organizaion it helps the abandoned strays and the helpless cats born on the streets. The feral cat population is estimated to be sixty million. The life expectancy of a stray/feral cat is less than 2 years. Unfortunately its to late for the cats that are already out there. CatVandos trap neuter and release program will stop hundreds of unwanted cats from being born.

There is a big problem with feral cats in our community. Catvando has been the most helpful in not only helping to keep this problem under control but has helped others in other communites by teaching them the benefits of TNR, neutering, and humane ways to help feral felines. In addition to this, they also help domesticated cats when the owners are no longer able to care for them. I have contacted them whenever I have issues with feral cats whether it be sheltering, feeding, or health issues and there is always someone on their staff who is knowledgeable enough to provide advice and guidance. As busy as they are, their tireless fundraising work is another indication of their commitment to caring for these unfortunate creatures.

My grandmother used to say that God created certain people to take care of the "orphans of the storm." Over my lifetime, I've had a 3 legged cat, a one-eyed car, and a one-eared cat. But the people at Catvando take care of such cats every single day. So many cats with severe injuries and infections, all lovingly cared for and rehabilitated and neutered. Some are returned to feral cat colonies that are monitored by Catvando volunteers, and some are adopted. None are ignored. I adopted two of their orphans, and enjoy their company very much. This is a great organization that operates on a shoestring, and 100% of donations go straight to the cats. Maureen Sullivan
