I have given my last dollar to your organization. A priest as president drawing a salary of over $150,000.00 and a CFO getting a salary of over a $160,000.00 a year. It's outrageous. I will pass the word on to my fellow catholics.

Our local Catholi Charities in Pittsburgh recently opened a free health clinic to meet the needs of those without health insurance and any other means to obtain health care. I am also on the board of CCUSA and am very impressed with their efforts at convening and advocating for the most vulnerable in society. Sister Linda Yankoski

I have been a Catholic Charities volunteer for almost 20 years. As a volunteer, I have worked inside their food and shelter programs countless times. As a board member for Catholic Charities, USA, I see first hand the good work performed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at all of the Catholic Charities food and shelter programs throughout the United States.

I have worked with CCUSA for years, especially in the hurricane relief efforts. They were the quietest group helping and to my mind the most effective. They used their credibility and networks to bring millions of dollars and thousands of volunteers to the relief of so mny. They did not set up elaborate structures just got in and helped. They have stayed with the effort and continue to bring real help to so many. In addition they worked with government and others to bring resources and use them well. They are great advocates for the dignity of the poor.

Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) has been a national leader in poverty reduction and continues to lead the charge with well orchestrated summits across the US. CCUSA has pulled together local and regional experts in the areas of hunger, housing, healthcare, economic security and education to focus Catholic Charities agencies, other non-profits, and corporations on collaborative projects to reduce poverty by 50% by the year 2020. In the area of hunger, CCUSA is spotlighting its own agencies and other organizations that increase citizens' access to healthy, nutritious food. For housing, CCUSA is focused on the goals of increasing the number of affordable housing units and reducing the number of familes in emergency shelters.

Wow, where does one start when talking about an organization that has helped to save your life. There are just no word that could ever express the gratitude that I have for Catholic Charities. My experience with Catholic Charities started when I entered their domestic violence shelter with my three children. The staff and volunteers that I came into contact with over that 4 month period of time were nothing short of extraordinary people that truly cared about me and my children. It has been over 5 years since I left the shelter and every time I come in contact with one of them they remember my story and remember my name. They do their work with passion and an open heart and honestly caring about each and every individual they come into contact with. Never once did I feel like I was being judged for the bad decisions I had made. They were their to help guide me in the right direction and give any support that I needed. Still to this day I know that they are there in support of my life. This organization and each and every person involved with it are truly angels sent to do god's work and they do it with unconditional love and dedication.

dedicated to doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. They not only acted as employees of an organization but as human beings that care.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

I've been in the Catholic Charities USA network for over twenty years and was the first loaned executive to CCUSA. I have seen first hand the persistent commitment to advocating nationally for those most in need even when it isn't popular. Catholic Charities' vision is absolutely critical to addressing the underlying causes of poverty, rather than just the symptoms. I've learned that cutting poverty is a marathon, not a sprint. It helps to have a large respected network like Catholic Charities USA in it for the long haul.

the strong network of colleagues around the country who are absolutely committed to serving those most in need in their local community.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

passionate, committed, professional, and personable with a great sense of hospitality.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

leverage it to create legislative policies that are truly transformative in helping communities in poverty access resources and assets to move out of poverty.
