Cat Assistance is a wonderful organization, which rescues cats from local Westchester and NYC shelters, and takes in strays and pets people can no longer hold onto. If the cats need medical attention, it is provided, with vet fees paid by the organization. We adopted a cat from them, who is the treasure of our lives. They are careful to screen those who wish to adopt to make sure the relationship will be a fit for the cat and the new owners. They work tirelessly to keep up with the ever increasing supply of cats that need help, and to find suitable owners. We will continue to support Cat Assistance and recommend it as a worthwhile charity.

VERY poor. We tried to adopt from Cat Assistance and they discriminated against us. They lead us to believe we had an equal chance in adopting some puppies and we were scheduled to visit the puppies. We had been one of the first to respond to the ad and assured that we would have a chance to meet the puppies before decisions on homes would be made. However, they then called us the day we were going to visit and told us, we weren't good enough to adopt. We have had dogs before, we have plenty of recommendations (they never asked) and we have the means to take care of the dogs. Never donate to this charity. There are better rescue animal programs out there.

They were honest with me and told us there was a lot of demand for these puppies.
