My interaction with the professional Staff at Caris is always an encouraging and inspiring experience. When I am fortunate enough to meet with them, I am able to hear the passion of their message and I am reminded why I partner with Caris. I've heard the testimonies of numerous women whose lives have been forever changed by the tireless effort of the Caris Staff. Many of these women looked to abortion as the only solution. Caris provides a viable alternative and gives these women the training, tools and resources to make them better parents. I really appreciate the overall supportive and positive stance that Caris takes as it relates to the controversial and divisive issues surrounding unplanned pregnancies. Women coming into the Caris Clinic are well aware of the difficult situation in which they find themselves. What these women need are answers and solutions. At Caris, these women find grace and support. It is an honor to partner with such a dedicated and talented organization.

Caris is an organization that serves women and children affected by unplanned pregnancy. Since I began my volunteer/donor partnership with Caris in 2008, I have seen nothing but faithful observance of their mission and authentic dedication to the women and children they serve. Caris has intentionally set themselves apart from other groups who serve in this capacity, seeking to find better ways to love and honor their clients. They have been unendingly committed to the practice of understanding their clients' emotional and physical needs and faithfully determined to meet those needs on every level. I love Caris. They not only bring hope and joy to those they serve, they bring ME hope and joy with every experience I have with them.

I have personally spoken with Caris clients who have described the despair felt through an unplanned pregnancy. These same clients light up with joy when they describe how their relationship with Caris enabled them to have hope and build a new life.

Caris does an outstanding job serving vulnerable women facing unplanned pregnancies. I serve with their employees, volunteers, and clients at our church and all of them affirm what I have seen--an organization that is designed to serve and empower women who are in need. Their president, Angie Weszely, is both professional and compassionate, and she and her staff are creative and thoughtful in their approach to a culturally divisive issue. Our church recently chose Caris as the recipient of our 2010 Redemption Project and our congregation supplied funding and over 150 tote bags full of resources for new moms. It was a wonderful blessing to be a part of their ministry.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer said “The test of the morality of a society is what it does for its children.” The truth of this quote speaks to the mission of Caris Pregnancy Clinics. Clearly Caris embodies a message that lives out the justice of this mission every single day. In doing so, they provide extraordinary support to all women. My experience with Caris’ staff and volunteers has proven their unconditional commitment to the cause of human sanctity. For me this means they are called to do justice to all of human life, at every stage of life. For them this clearly begins at the moment of conception. This is true justice informed by love and action and there is no doubt that Caris is faithfully committed to the complete sanctity of life which includes the life of the unborn child and the utmost care for the dignity of mothers and their families.
