This foundation has opened my eyes to the sacrifices our soldiers as well as their friends and family make in order for me to have the safety and freedoms I have. The events sponsored by The Captain Scott Corwin Foundation have reminded me to not take my freedoms for granted and a great way to say thank you to those for protect those freedoms. From handing a soldier a gift card in the airport to siting down next to them at an Army football game I've seen what a positive effect these events have had not only for the soldiers but also for myself.

The Scott Corwin Foundation has had nothing but a positive experience in my life. In memory of Scott Corwin, a West Point graduate, this foundation offers 2000 dollars worth of scholarship money to a high school senior who best exemplifies the traits of leadership, community involvement, and honorable character. Besides for helping me follow in Scott's footsteps at West Point, the Corwin family has reached out to me on a personal level and I thoroughly appreciate their support. For example, during my basic training at West Point, Mr. Corwin took time out of his day to write me a letter of encouragement

The Foundation has teamed with artist Alex Yawor to create portraits of 'fallen heroes'. I asked the Foundation to paint a portrait from a photo of a Marine officer taken on the streets of Fallujah, Iraq. It was a difficult undertaking for Mr. Yawor, but one it which he excelled. Greg Corwin and Alex maintained e-mail communication and progress reports throughout.
The portrait was shipped cross-country without problems. Their direct contact with the family was very respectful.
It was most satisfying to witness the warmth directed toward the artist and the Foundation by the Marine's family.
The Captain Scott Corwin Foundation is both honest and honorable.

I was referred to this organization by a family memeber. I had a painting done of my daughters husband "Sgt. Ryan Lane" who was a Marine and was killed in Afghanistan in 2009. Mr. Yawor did a wonderful job of capturing Ryan in a beautiful painting. I was so proud to present it to my daughter as a gift in remembrance of your husband. It is so wonderful what this organization does for the family's of our fallen heroes. Thank you! Barb Welding

I was Scott's roommate, college classmate, and best friend. When he was killed, it was one of the most painful things I have dealt with in my life. In the years afterwards, I often thought about him, where he'd be right now, what he'd think about different things. I knew him well enough to say that he would be humbled, but proud, of the Scott Corwin Foundation.

The Foundation keeps Scott's memory alive for those who knew him, and tells his story for those not lucky enough to know him. It recognizes the same qualities that made Scott such an incredible friend, and encourages those with those traits from his hometown.

I am proud to be a member of the board, and hope you recognize the benefit of the Foundation enough to support it. Thank for your help.

captain scott corwin was a west point graduate who was murdered in savannah georgia six years ago with the case still open and not solved. the family of scotts have come together and opened this organization to assist and show army families what scott was about, family being number one. I assisted twice in taking army families and army medical patients to west point football games with the foundation providing not only transportation from walter reed medical center, to serving lunch and grab bags for the patients. the patients had the time of their lives, also meeting a four star general richard cody.
