I have nothing but nice things to say about this great organization. It is great to see how the Cancer Schmancer Foundation brings awareness to the community and really tries to provide people with the tools they need to protect themselves. I follow them on twitter and they are constantly posting links and new information on not only cancer related topics but health in general. What an outstanding organization.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

attending the fabulous cancer schmancer benefit concert in Los Angeles.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get it more active and have more events in the northeastern region of the u.s.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the fact that I know i am making a difference.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very friendly and I could tell that they were really excited to be involved with the organization.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

get so much more exposure then it does now and truly make a big difference in the world.

Ways to make it better...

I was able to be directly involved with the organization.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

getting its name out there so that more people are aware that they exist.

One thing I'd also say is that...

more sponsored events and/or fund raisers will only increase the impact this organization makes!

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

Cancer Schmancer is non-profit and dedicated to improving women's health and educating women on gynecological cancers. Many lives have been saved through the efforts of Cancer Schmancer and I think that they are reaching their goal a little more each day. Many women have learned things about their bodies and signs of gynecological cancers from the CS team. By visiting their website and looking at symptoms they may have, they could discover something severely wrong and know now to visit the doctor. Fran-Vans also help women who may not have enough money to go get screenings. I think this organization is great, and they will be doing great things in the future.

I was introduced to the Cancer Schmancer Foundation via an Evite to the first event in Chicago. After reading about the Foundation, I knew that I not only wanted to attend the event, I knew that I wanted to become involved with the group, because this group’s mission is working on causes that I have always been passionate about. I had the unique opportunity to be included in dinner with Fran. It was, of course, quite an experience to be able to be “up close and personal” with such a talented, beautiful star, whom I have always admired as “The Nanny”. However, it was even more exciting to sit across the table from such an intelligent and committed women, hearing her speak about her cause. It was truly inspiring to see that such a famous and accomplished actress is willing to give so much of herself to helping others. It would be an honor to have the opportunity to play a role in changing laws and policies that currently allow insurance companies too much power in deciding treatments and diagnostic tests. It would be an honor to have the opportunity to play a role in changing attitudes towards physicians and making sure that all women know that they not only CAN, but that they MUST take charge of their own health. Although I have always felt strongly about these and related issues and I always had the desire to help create change, I have never before come across a group with the same mission.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

probably give everyone the tools to take charge of their own health, as well as the health of their families.

I could have gotten more involved immediately.

This was a fantastic experience. I loved meeting Fran and all our team mates. The EIF Revlon Walk for Cancer was fun and we knew we were contributing to a great event. There were so many people that we had to inch our way along, and the best thing was seeing all the many teams in their matching T-shirts. I was so honored to wear my special Cancer Schmancer T-shirt and so thrilled to be part of Fran's team. Some of us were there representing Los Angeles Women In Music and our support for the Cancer Schmancer team.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

When asking for donations, many friends responded with a donation, some of whom were surviving cancer and were very happy that I was participating in a walk for the cure.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Get feedback from the participants immediately after the event, what worked and what didn't.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The EIF Revlon Walk event was well organized and well attended, and everyone was enthusiastic.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I met my team mates and the people they knew at the VIP area.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Continue to fight for a cure, get the word out, and increase their supporters and participants.

Ways to make it better...

There had been adequate number of bathrooms along the walk route.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

I am just now learning about it now.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I appreciated the chance to participate in the EIF Revlon Walk.

Clearly, Cancer Schmancer Foundation is out there doing it - raising awareness of early detection, resources available & teaching empowerment so we are in charge of our own bodies! I strongly believe that Cancer Schmancer is a life-saving non-profit that is sorely needed in our community.

Cancer Schmancer is a fantastic organization which works tirelessly to ensure early detection of cancers which are frequently diagnosed too late...something that really needs to be changed!

More feedback...

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

effectively raise awareness of the effects of a late cancer diagnosis and help to change legislation.

I stand behind Fran and all of the volunteers and supporters of Cancer Schmancer 100% because they are truly making a difference in the lives of those with and without cancer. CS has continued for the past two years to have my full attention and trust as they seek to end the horrific effects of Cancer. The First stage remains; The Cure.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the eyes of the cancer victims who have survived as a result of CS help.

Follow in the footsteps of Fran Drescher and seek to motivate people to participate and never give up.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Frans continued outreach and commitment to the CS movement no matter what the obsticles.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very happy, warm, and pleasant aside from being knowledgable as well.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

start to make a dent in research for The Cure and also to provide more outreach to keep this jugernaut of a group moving forward.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time myself to dedicate to the cause.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

continued outreach and education to the millions who need to understand the devestating effects of cancer and that it needs to be eradicated.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I appreciate the opportunity you have give me to speak on such a great organization. All The Best, John Perkins, Fremont, CA

As someone who has donated thousands and asked others to do the same I'm proud to say the value of how our money is used and how each member/supporter is treated is brilliant. To actuallr ecieve a personalized thanks from Fran more than once and to have the team really thanks and support every effort shows just how much each team member cares about the cause and the supporters. Well done to Fran and the team, keep up the education ...

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Community education and almost a viral spread of new supporters where the organization makes it simple and easy to find ways to help.

Ways to make it better...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The personalized feedback and thanks.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Great supporters of the cause and thankful of the volunteers ...

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Educate 20 million mothers about how to stop cancer in it's tracks.

Ways to make it better...

Nothing really ... having donated to hundreds of charities I think the team was one of the best I have dealt with.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The plethora of Cancer organizations and staying relevant ...

One thing I'd also say is that...

Fran is putting more energy and effort into this than most celebs to any charity ...

I think Fran and Cancer Schmancer are doing amazing work, bringing to light otherwise overlooked and under-diagnosed female reproductive cancers.

the visibility it's provided to underdiagnosed cancers.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

feeling like I'm contributing to a cause that is of personal importance to me.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

caring and committed.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help advance the cause of awareness of underdiagnosed women's cancer.

Ways to make it better...

more events and opportunities for interacting directly with the foundation were available

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

never enough time to do everything you want to do!

One thing I'd also say is that...

I wish my Mom could have taken advantage of the good work Cancer Schmancer does. Unfortunately, she passed away two years ago from cancer. My interest in this group is directly related to my strong belief in what it is trying to accomplish.
