I haven't had the chance to participate in any functions, but I firmly believe in supporting a just cause. Celebrity endorsements or celebrity initiated causes can be a great way to draw attention to an issue. Despite my love of Fran Drescher's character and personality, I could not support this cause if I didn't believe wholeheartedly in the cause and her role in it. She's the perfect voice for such a movement and a fantastic inspiration for everyone. Fran updates on Facebook, Twitter and the Cancer Schmancer website consistently and frequently to share about the latest events, most recent news, and what's being done making it impossible to be out of the loop. This movement is so powerful yet still down to Earth that you feel like cancer detection in Stage 1 for everyone is an achievable and realistic goal. I only hope that at some point I can be a bigger part of the movement. With every fiber of my being, I'm proud to support Cancer Schmancer.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

through several stories of successful diagnosis of cancer in stage 1 because they heard the message of Cancer Schmancer.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

do my best, as Fran Drescher is, to coordinate events in varying cities, get the word out, and update on recent developments and success stories via social network sites as well as through traditional news media.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people who support the movement, an enigmatic personality in a spokesperson like Fran Drescher, and full faith that the mission of Cancer Schmancer can be realized.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

have endless possibilities. It would support events in more locations, donations to research, possibly open clinics specializing in cancer detection that are available to anyone with or without medical coverage.

Ways to make it better...

there were events in my area or within driving distance. I would love to participate more, but finances prevent travel to the cities the events are mainly held in. If Cancer Schmancer never makes it down South, one day I will be able to make the trip.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

how to spread the word far and wide so that Cancer Schmancer becomes recognizable in every household, much like the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

One thing I'd also say is that...

cancer CAN be diagnosed in stage 1, and that this organization can help save the lives of innumerable amounts of people. Because Fran survived, it's impossible to know how many people whose lives she's responsible for saving by getting the word out.

No more feeling frightened of what might follow... the reality of Cancer sorrow. Not only a sense of comfort of ease, the Cancer Schmancer movement has given me the confidence to take control of my own life. Just knowing that the members are on my side, standing with me through the unknown holds such importance to me. My family and friends- with which without them I would be nothing- are being watched over as well. That sense of gratitude for that knows no boundaries. I am so thankful. Unfourtunately, we do not know when Cancer will show itself through the ones we care about or even ourselves. That is why I want to do everything I can possibly do to support Cancer Schmancer and bring awareness to everything this cause stands for. No more holding our breaths- scarred. Our lives' can change instantly when we are still trying to exhale. Fran- everyone behind Cancer Schmancer- you are my angels. We only have each other- and I know together, we can allow everyone to breath in comfort. Much Love, Jill Kruse

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Fran-members-supporters of Cancer Schmancer are a family. This family tackles cancer related issues head on- and not limiting efforts to one specific kind of cancer. Not only spreading facts- awareness, Can Sch gives us the love to take cancer down hard.

I had the opportunity to attend a Cancer Schmancer event in NYC. Having already visited the organization's site, I was already familiar with the general mission. However, meeting Fran and seeing her and her board's passion for this very important cause, has led me to recommend it to anyone interested in the issue of cancer. I'm one of the many who would have benefitted from early detection, however, that is still a pipe dream with my cancer (ovarian). Cancer Schmancer is working toward early detection for all cancers, and deserves our support.

It makes me happy that she didnt disclued me from anything, she imformed me she invited me to sit with her and her staff. Cancer Schmancer is all about fighting cancer in its beatable stage- stage 1. Patients need to learn the correct questions to ask and cancer schmancer helps with empowering the patient to take their health into their own hands. Cancer Schmancer is also expanding onto college campuses which increases cancer awareness to a younger generation.

Like Fran always says....everyone knows a woman that they have lost to cancer. I lost my very beloved aunt to ovarian cancer this past year. Hers was diagnosed in stage 3-4 and she spent the last 3 years of her life battling the disease. The goal of Cancer Schmancer is to diagnose everyone in stage 1.......if only my aunt had been diagnosed in stage 1! She would still be here today I am sure! She also would not have had to under go all the painful and life consuming treatments (not to mention costly) that she did to keep her alive the 3 years after her surgery. Thanks to Fran for taking her experience with cancer and doing something about it to help other people! Thanks to her and her organization more and more people will be aware of early warning signs of the disease! I, along with so many others, respect her and look up to her so much, that we are more likely to take her advice......to GO to doctors, to not accept when they might tell us that we are well when we know deep down something is wrong, to ask lots of questions, and get 2nd opinions! (Hopefully not 8 like she had to!) Thanks so much to Fran and Cancer Schmancer for educating women and working to reform our health care situation so that more women can LIVE from cancer like she did, not DIE from it.

Cancer Schmancer is a great foundation to help people with Cancer to detect it in Stage 1. Fran Drescher's was found in stage 1, and instead of just being grateful, she was grateful and wanted to give back. So she made Cancer Schmancer! You will truly be helped through her foundation.

Fran Drescher never ceases to amaze! She took cancer and turned it on its head! Fran was diagnosed with uterine cancer back in 2000. She is a survivor but refused to but her past behind her. She took this experience and used it to create what I believe to be one of the best cancer foundations: Cancer Schmancer. Born in 2007, in only a short time Fran has been successful in putting this important issue on the map, like getting Johanna's Law passed and organizing fund raising events. She has been successful in teaching us that we need to listen to our bodies and be our own advocates. She will stop at nothing to ensure that cancer be diagnised in Stage 1 when it is most curable. The Cancer Schmancer Foundation website is filled with articles and other wonderful information that helps us better understand cancer and our bodies and keeps us updated on the lastest ways to keep ourselves healthy as well as ways to help contribute to this important cause. Fran has taken a negative and turned it into a positive through an organization that has become essential to kicking cancer in the butt. Thank you Fran for sharing your experience with us so that we can join in the fight against cancer.

Everybody knows what cancer is. Everybody goes all goose-pimply if he/she hears the word "cancer" in connection with himself/ herself or a deer person that he/ she loves.... step by step we can make a big difference & fight the enemy that cancer is .... and so does Fran make a great difference & progress step by step , spreading her experiences, promoting it online every day & drawing the public's attention to it (e.g by being supported by big names... & we all know this is the way to get our society to pay attention & get interested into things).... anybody could be next, YOU, your mother, grandma, sister, cousin, best friend or even daughter.... so get ACTIVE !!..like Fran does... I myself "only" know one woman who had cancer (& fought it like Fran)...it is not a close friend of mine though.. But I DID lose a VERY CLOSE person of mine to CANCER IN GENERAL...my father! He died of lunge cancer.... he was so sick during the last year of his life, was coughing TERRIBLY.. but the doctors didn't investigate his health issues properly & just 2 months before passed away he was diagnosed with cancer (at the age of 58). the tumor was to big , to close to the heart so a surgery was not an option.. I admit .. the reason why I got interested in this nonprofit foundation was because I've been a fan of Fran Drescher...The first Time I heard about Cancer Schmancer was on the Chelsea Lately Show. I even did not know that Fran had had cancer before (because I just moved to the States and though we all love her in Germany she respectively her cancer battle was not over our tabloids) . However that was how I an average person of the society who is influenced by the media got interested and now more involved in this organization. It is great to be updated every day on Facebook by Fran I really want to volunteer soon and spread the word! btw... Fran Drescher has such an impact on the general "cancer battle" now, that when you google her name the word cancer respectively Cancer Schmancer appears in your results and even already in the search bar!..that is how big the organization extent is.... We ♡ Fran even more now ..for being such an influential, sensible, responsible & warm-hearted person.
