Cancer is something that not only affects a person but also the persons who love them most. This organization does great work in helping the poor and needy who have cancer towards treatment and helping them get back into mainstream life. The Institute and the Chairmman have the recieved the highest awards both in homeland and internationally and are known for their selfless work.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

last 4 years and have personally visited the Chairman and the Institute at Chennai to have an in-depth feel of the functioning.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The simple approach to touch each heart with visual aids and reach across geographic barriers

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Great group of down to earth volunteers who despite their busy family/work schedule are able to pool together for a great cause.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand the services with more infrastructure and be able to reach far more people who are even not able to afford even the expense of travel to the hospital.

The most important signature of this organization is that there are no staff and is driven only by volunteers.I have been volunteering for the past 3 years and am happy that I am able to raise fudns for the poor in India, suffering from cancer.Cancer is an expensive disease and this org transfers all the funds raised, straight to the Insitute, which provides free cancer treatment to the needy. I have visited the Institute at Chennai and seen the work in progress. Yes, its real.

Have been involved with CIF for arnd 2 years and can truly vouch for the services performed by this institute to the needy in South India. Thousands of poor patients in India are treated every year and the institute also dedicates resources in timely detection and prevention of cancer. In resonance with its slogan, CIF truly makes it patients feel that there is life after a cancer.
