My daughter attended this camp that she found herself and we enrolled her at the last minute, the staff was extremely helpful with our requests and helped us get her there. I will be boasting about this camp for years!!!

This is a great camp, like camp catch-a-rainbow. My daughter has attended both and loved Camp Quality just as much if not more than the other. Thank so much Camp Quality!

A great organization! My son looks forward to camp every year not to mention all the other events they do throughout the year. We love Camp Quality!

It lets kids be kids regardless of their illness. Also lets families enjoy activities that that may not be able to afford.

My son was diagnosed with Leukemia about 2 ½ years ago. That was a great shock and stress on him and on our whole family. Shortly thereafter we heard about a camp that Camp Quality provided for cancer patients. We signed our son and one of his sisters up to go. They had a blast. They made new friends, had a lot of fun, learned ne things, and most of all, in interacting with other cancer patients, were able to gain strength and hope concerning dealing with this new monster in their lives. The staff and volunteers have been wonderful. Camp Quality has also provided opportunities for our family to participate with our children in some quality events. Camp Quality does a quality job.

My daughter has attended Camp Quality Michigan for two years. She absolutely LOVES the experience and has grown so much each time she attends for just one week. She has made long lasting friendships with her companion, a volunteer. She also has made a lifelong buddy with her roommate and her roommate's companion. The opportunities that the kids at Camp Quality Michigan allow them to be kids first and foremost regardless of what cancer they had/have or where they are in treatment. It's a way to connect and be a carefree kid having fun for one week each year.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
watching my daughter mature and gain confidence. She's also learned to accommodate others who need more time or help to do things because of their personal limitations.

give them more resources and more man power to do more.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that it makes the camper and their entire family feel like one big family. Everytime I think about my daughter's camp experience, I get a lump in my throat and tear up. It's really more than just camp for my daughter.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
unbelievable. They put the kids first and make sure everything is fun and enjoyable. They know all the kids by name almost instantly and keep in touch too.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
change the world. Seriously, the families that could benefit from having their child have a camp experience with Camp Quality Michigan would benefit immensely!
Ways to make it better...
the camp was actually one day longer to get the kids to be able to do more that they want to!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the limitations that they have in serving a limited number of children. The camp is small (60 kids total?) and the experience could benefit so many more.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Camp Quality is really a highlight of my daughter's summer.

My daughter has attended Camp Quality for 11 years. She is currently 14 and counts down the days from her last day of camp to the first day next year. It provides her with such a wonderful and unique experience every year. Every time I pick her up she claims that "this was the best year ever". They also provide wonderful family and teen activities throughout the year. She really enjoys the winter ski weekend.

My daughter attended Camp Quality this summer for the first time. It was a wonderful experience for her. Because it was her first time away from home her brother was able to attend also. The both still ask me to return to camp. They had such a great time they wish they could go back camp now. As a parent you worry about your cancer kid especially when they are away from you. The staff at camp made me feel confortable leaving my child for the week. The staff was wonderful with my daughter. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to entrust my children with. Thank You Camp Quality!!!!!

My children attended Camp Quality. They give our cancer kids a chance to experience many of the activities regular kids do. The had a chance to just have fun and forget about the meds. and treatments that they endure to keep them alive.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
When I picked my kids up from camp they had so many wonderful stories to tell about their time away. I love hearing each and every one. The final presentation at pick up included a slideshow of their week. Really awesome.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Wonderful is all I can say about the volunteers and staff. They were a 100% there for our kids. Couldn't ask for a better group of people. My kids companions were very cool. The words of my son.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Bring joy to so many more kids like my daughter. Kids who have spent so much of their lives fight to just survive. For one short week they can just LIVE and be normal kids.
Ways to make it better...
I can't think of a thing that I would change. Camp Quality is doing a wonderful job.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Finding individual and corporate funding to continue the work Camp Quality does and to expand it. With the economy being as it is I really think funding is their biggest challenge.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Thank You Camp Quality.

Since my oldest daughter, Emma, had been diagnosed with cancer, we didn't have an opportunity to let her and her sister go and do many things. Camp Quality Michigan was just awesome!!! It is a wonderful camp that allows children of cancer to be with other children who are going through the same thing. This was the first time that my daughters had ever been to camp. They loved it. They talked about it for weeks. How much they loved their companions, the food, the activities. The experience they had there provided them with independence, self confidence, and memories that they will never forget. One week after camp, they were already talking about attending next year's Camp Quality Michigan. THANK YOU CAMP QUALITY MICHIGAN FOR A WONDERFUL SUMMER!!!

that it is very well organized and efficient. This organization made it such a wonderful experience for the whole family.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
were kind, considerate, and compassionate. My husband and I were very comfortable in leaving them for the first time with all the support and attention they received.

I'm a widowed mom whose only child just finished 3 1/2 years of chemotherapy. Camp Quality has been invaluable to both my son & me. Their summer camp for cancer kids not only gives the kids a great experience, but provides respite for parents, knowing that our kids are OK w/proper medical oversight, while we get much-needed time to tend to other pressing matters (including an occassional nap!).
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
having respite during Kids' Camp week, and enjoying family events w/other families stricken w/childhood cancer.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
being able to escape now & then the gloom of childhood cancer, including respite.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
concerned, caring, efficient, and many have somehow also been touched by childhood catastrophic illnesses, including death.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
provide a lot more families w/ a lot more care.
Ways to make it better...
Camp Quality had more funds to enable all kids/families to participate in their camps & events, all of which are provided to us free of charge.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
financial.
One thing I'd also say is that...
my son & I are very lucky to have learned about CQ through another leukemia mom.

It took my son 3 years to finally get the nerve to go to camp & leave me. When I got to camp to pick him up, us came up to me & said that he can't believe I didn't make him go all those other years :o) He also said he can't wait to go again next year & become a companion when he is 18. He absolutely had the time of his life. Almost three months later he is still talking about the friendships and fun he had. Camp Quality is an amazing camp for kids with or surviving cancer. It lets them all feel like kids and they all have something in common. Thank you again Camp Quality for all his memories!!!!
