California Partnership To End Domestic Violence

Rating: 4.94 stars   16 reviews

Issues: Homeless & Housing

Location: P.O. Box 1798 Sacramento CA 95814 USA

Mission: Our mission is to be a catalyst and advocate for social change, and to ensure safety and justice for victims and survivors of domestic violence and their children.
Results: Our policy team works very closely with the state legislature, and has a long track record of successfully passing over 100 pieces of legislation on behalf of battered women and their children. We also continue to provide training and resources to the community and in 2011 we pioneered a training program to teach domestic violence advocates and prosecutors how to work collaboratively for the benefit of the domestic violence victim throughout the legal process.
Programs: The Partnership utilizes public policy, communications tools, professional training, collaboration, cultural competency and victims resources and referrals to provide member agencies with the tools they need to end domestic violence.

As a former Board Member and the Executive Director for a community based non-profiy, I am very proud of the coalition that CPEDV has built. California is well represented!
