I have been attending classes at Byte Back for a number of years. I am currently employed as a program assistant at an International Organization and wanted to keep my skills up to date, because of Byte Back's schedule and pricing I am able to attend the classes that I need. There was also a class on Budgeting which was very well received by everyone who attended. I can truly say that Byte Back provides a necessary service to everyone.

I began as a volunteer teaching classes at Byte Back three years ago, and joined their board the following year. I am so impressed with all that they manage to accomplish on such a tight budget.

I work for one of Byte Back's partner organizations, Academy of Hope. We were able to start our computer program years ago because of a wonderful Byte Back Intern, Mimi, who later joined our staff for several years. Today, once again, Byte Back helps us offer classes at our school.

I was one of the first interns at ByteBack. It must be stated that Glenn Stein made a personal effort and commitment to bring this concept to fruition. His overall desire for "meaningful" and "productive" results remains the key aspect of the mission and work of Byteback. The IT industry has such a curve for income development, irrespective of college credits, that with a willingness to learn and practice, individuals may find a new opportunity to contribute in life, when otherwise society may have locked out the unfortunate~!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the opportunity to learn about the IT industry.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
amazing. People willing to help and serve others~!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
dramatically impact the opportunity for the under served people of societies to gain an opportunity to find meaningful employment.
Ways to make it better...
well,,,, if I took a "more" serious attitude to the opportunity presented to me~!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
vision, management and financial support~!
One thing I'd also say is that...
ByteBack has given many people the chance to participate in an industry that otherwise would have been blocked to them,,, and the financial gains.

I've been volunteering for a couple years at ByteBack and I think they are by far the best community-based organization in DC in terms of really helping people to succeed by building their computer skills. These are job-related skills that all adults need and ByteBack helps students to improve their skills. Kudos to the staff and volunteers that keep this place running!

I am a full-time AmeriCorps volunteer working at Byte Back. I teach computer classes during the weekdays. Teaching at Byte Back is hands-down the most rewarding job I have ever had. This organization does great work and really empowers the individuals who take courses here. I recommend it for potential students and volunteers!
