I have enjoyed Broadway By The Bay as a performer, audience member, board member, and assisted with fundraising, costume, makeup and hair design and volunteer regularly to support this grand organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

and behind many productions, my favorites being "Ragtime", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "West Side Story", "The Sound of Music" and "Into the Woods".

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find a way to print tickets at home, as Fandango does.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

sharing quality musical theater with kids and grandparents and everyone in between, with low prices and easy parking.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

always cheerful and dedicated! Tony always had a smile, and Kevin is the best House Manager! Backstage, kudos to Kirsten!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

start to build a new theater that could house both it's productions and its wonderful education and outreach programs.

Ways to make it better...

our theater had the benefit of climate control and decent seat and bathrooms. The theater we love needs desperately to be renovated!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

lack of venues on the Peninsula for fine theater of the quality that BBB supplies. I wish BBB had a home of its own...

One thing I'd also say is that...

BBB is am outlet for the phenomenal talent that is in the area. It draws the best talent and uses the time of it's actors well. The artistic staff is stellar!

I've been a stage manager for Broadway by the Bay for 16 years, and volunteered on the crew for a few years before that. The company provides a wonderful opportunity for community performers to appear in a professional quality production alongside theater professionals. Volunteer opportunities exist for crew members, where valuable technical theater skills are taught. I am a big fan of the company, because they provide an opportunity for community involvement in every area of musical theater production, without compromising artistic quality.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

being part of fantastic musical theater productions, such as "The Full Monty" and "Jesus Christ Superstar."

kind and professional.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

educate thousands of kids in theater, put on some terrific shows, and improve the venue to better accomodate the audience.

Ways to make it better...

there was a larger budget to allow more flexibility in the artistic process and greater community participation.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the increased cost of theatrical space, and the limited availability of rental sets of broadway quality.
