Bev goes above and beyond for the horses she takes under her wing. From saving, transporting, caring, evaluating, training to adoption. Nothing is forced, rushed or done in any other way than the right way. Bev holds herself and all of the people she works with to the highest standards.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Having one of her horses. Everything I have needed for the horse has been offered. Bev has always been reachable and prompt.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

hope to expand it, and to provide it with more funding. There are so many horses and not enough credible rescues.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working with someone so knowledgable and professional in everyway.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Awesome

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help so many more horses and do so much more for the unwanted horse population.

Ways to make it better...

I have no complaints.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding. Bev works an outside job as well as runs the rescue full time. Although she is very responsible with her funding and finances..It limits her ability to help more horses than she does.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I picked Brite Futures to foster for after a year of researching rescues. I have not been disappointed. She is simply one of the best.

Bev at Bright Futures Farm is extremely very dedicated to the mission of giving horses a second chance. She inspires those around her to make a difference to those animals deemed "disposable" but not limited to the racing community. These magnificant animals often go on to lead productive lives with new owners.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Not only fostering for horses waiting for a home, but having the good fortune to adopt 3 into our family as well.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Encourage people with the financial resources to become involved.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Working with and learning from a truely dedicated wonderful person.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Wonderful

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand and create a network to save many more horses.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time to devote to learning and helping Bright Futures.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding and the astounding amount of animals headed for disposal.

One thing I'd also say is that...

You need to visit this farm to really get a sense of the work involved and the rewards of working with Bev and her horses.

Bev D = Bev "Dedication" Not only does she provide fantastic care for her charges, she has particular standards her volunteers and fosters must meet (or she'll teach these standards). Bev inspires passion for her cause and willfully shares her expectations, goals and the journey to accomplishing these tasks. This compassionate person also puts countless time and effort into assisting and networking with other rescues and individuals on top of everything she must do to maintain BFF. Bev is as dedicated as any person I've ever met and I only hope there are others willing to follow in her hoof prints.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Bev's follow-up and follow-through. When she commits to something she whole-heartedly dives in and completes the task. She checks up on foster horses and makes sure everyone has everything they need.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

relocate her closer to me!!!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the experience as a whole and the opportunity to refine my skills in working with various horses.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

committed to "The Big Picture" and had the enthusiasm to keep on keepin' on, even when things get tough.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

is that enough to lobby law changes and step up enforcement?

Ways to make it better...

I had more personal resources to help even more.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

FUNDING! Then there's the legal mumbo-jumbo making rescue work a necessity because people get away with very little punishment. Often times not even restitution for the rehab of what the person caused in the first place. Circling back to funding.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Many humans have lost touch with with the natural world. Yet somehow, just being around a horse makes everything right, even for just that tiny moment in time. I hope to never live without being able to smell the sweet breath of a horse.

I have been working with Bright Futures Farm for the past 7 years and it is a wonderful organization. My family and I have helped to care for and re-home several horses and have even adopted three. Bev takes great care in making good matches between the horses and theirprospective adoptors. Her care and concern do not end after placement either. One of the horses we adopted required extensive medical care including multiple surgeries and hospitalizations resulting in a $15,000+ veterinary bill and Bev has worked with us extensively to organize fundraisers and raise the money needed to save his life. She is a wonderful person doing some great work helping these horses.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Caring for the horses in this program has provided my family and I with countless opportunities to experience the true joy that comes from giving of ourselves. We have also adopted three of the best "teachers" we have ever had!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

everything I have learned as well as seeing the horses matched with a great new home!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

It could establish sattelite farms and equine programs to help reduce the number of unwanted/uncared for horses.

Bev is a very caring woman who has dedicated her life to helping horses. She works tirelessly to ensure that all of the animals that are involved with Bright Futures Farm have the best available care not only while at the rescue and foster homes, but also when adoption matches are made.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the understanding that although Rescue horses come from various backgrounds, they share a common need for safe haven and a chance at a comfortable life. Bright Futures Farm is dedicated to giving horses that opportunity.
