Results: Breast Impressions has raised over $100,000 since 2007 for "local" breast cancer programs, education and support throughout the country. As of 12/20/'2011, breast casting kits have been donated to 302 women with breast cancer who wanted to make a memory prior to surgery.
Geographic areas served: USA
Programs: Turn Tulsa Pink, a project of Breast Impressions was held Oct. 22 - 29, 2011. We were successful in turning buildings pink, employees from companies all over the county wearing pink to work, and holding fundraising events. Ten local charities were highlighted for their work for women and children affected by cancer. Not just breast cancer but all cancers. To date over $46,000 was raised for those ten charities! We will be doing it again Oct. 20 - 27, 2011 and hope for even a greater response and greater results! Check out our Turn Tulsa Pink website at http://turntulsapink.org

The Green Country Roller Girls teamed up with Breast Impressions in early 2008 to start a revolution in the world of flat track roller derby. BI now travels all over the US casting roller girls to help in their efforts to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer research and education, especially for the under 40 crowd. We are planning another event for October 2010 with this organization again and are very much looking forward to it! We LOVE Breast Impression and Judi Grove for all they do!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

I will ALWAYS be grateful to my own hometown Roller Girls, who contacted Breast Impressions to see how they could help. What a movement you girls started! And just think of the many lives we have saved since March 2008 with the breast self exam cards distributed to every woman who attends a bout across the nation now, not to mention the help that's been given to those facing breast cancer through the auctions of the casts. I truly LOVE my Green Country Roller Girls of Tulsa, OK!!! And thank you for giving me my Derby Name!! XOXOXO Mammy O'Gram :)

Positive, positive, positive, with a splash of humor that's Breast Impressions. But most of all open arms await to give survivors hugs of love and words of affirmation.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They are all so positive and organized.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help so many women be educated on the importance of early BC detection and education on the decisions that have to be made if you are diagnosed with BC.

Breast Impressions does so much for the community in a creative and challenging way. They are tirelessly working on behalf of those victims of Breast cancer and other survivors to make them proud of their bodies at a time when their womanhood is challenged because of disease. I commend them for their efforts, and as a person who has lost several of my family members from cancer, sometimes I wish other organs would receive as much attention as the breast. It's bold, it's innovative, and it's a great chance for people to get involved and make something happen for this disease. Thank you Breast Impressions, from one creative to another, you are doing a great job. Starr Hardgrove

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the many great events to raise awareness and on the commercial.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get the branding out there more with merchandise.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

there willingness to freely give information and help other non-profit people with a cause.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

N/A

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make everyone aware that it is important to get a mammogram and detect breast cancer early.

Ways to make it better...

they would have more events.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

apathy and the health care system.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I think that Judi Grove and Breast Impressions are doing a remarkable job.

About every six months

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
