So far Bread rocks and I don't see or know of anything that need to be fixed.
I feel in love with Bread for the City the day I walked into their doors needing their help. I could not believe how clean the facility was and how genuine the staff were. Now in a better place in my life I am honored to be a small part of why they are such a HUGE blessing to the Washington, DC Community!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
A few people and I don't want to forget any names but I adore Kristin Valentine!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
AWESOME and truly dedicated!!!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
continue to do what they are already doing but even better!
Ways to make it better...
I have not one complaint.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
I have not seen any yet.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I don't believe that they get the recognition that they deserve.
Should this review be counted for a specific campaign?

We enjoy visiting Bread for the City. We have donated both money and items each year during the holidays and we have seen families benefit throughout the years from their services.

Fine the way it is.
i cn gladly write a review about Bread of te City. i went to Bread of the City for many years. They have an excelllent top rate staff. Clothing is expensive and for years clothes were made available.I don't mean any walk around the house clothes either. Still to this day in shopping for new and other used clothes, i have yert to see the quality i saw at bread of the city. They no longer have clothes on 7th street, but ill never forget. There was food to tie that loose knot..to tide you over till the next time. There were social workers ready to give iformation. you never had to second guess them. Most of all there was Dr. Randi Abramson who was everything in one package. She came to my domestic violence hearing..although under supeona i could see she was concerned.how could anyone thata has that much to do take the time to notice you. How she did it i never figured out. It takes a lot of energy to give. I used to beleive it was a given. But as i assume more activity in my life, i understand thing s very differently. I now understand people like Gregg bloom who really arae very special people andall the rest who dedicate there lives kto helping others. Heres to you for all you do. Your sacrifice can never be repaid. Lisa R. Queen

There are a number of non-profits in DC that I like, but none better than Bread for the City. I've met with staff, patrons, and volunteers from this organization many times and I always walk away thinking, "Wow. This is the group of people that really gets it." The staff is smart, their senior leadership has a great record, and they help a ton of people every day.
