My 19- year old daughter was in a car accident in Fenruary of 2011 and has severe traumatic brain injury. While she was in a sub- acute childrens hosipital in Orange, I met the families of Brainstroming4Us. The founder of the group also has a loved one suffering from TBI. Her tremendous strength and encouragement was probably the thing that kept me going. The families I met were wonderful! and extremely supportive as well! While my daughter is still suffering from TBI and may be for the rest of her young life, this support group will always pick me up when things are tough and they give me hope that doctors don't always provide. I have to believe that my daughter will speak, move, and walk one day, even its's just baby steps, and they encourage and strengthen me to believe this!! They are my extended family and friends for life. The group also helps my family to understand how to deal with everything. They look forward to the meetings as much as I do. Thank you Brainstorming4Us !!!

I participated in the annual walk for thought and was able to personally see the help and hope this amazing organization has given to people suffering from TBI, and also their family members. Without this group the High Desert would have MANY people with TBI or with a loved on with TBI without a place to turn to. This group has helped give resources, help and hope to those who without it would feel lost and confused, and maybe even give up all hope. But with this group people who have suffered from TBI either recently or over a period of years now have their hopes restored.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The annual walk for thought where this group has reached out to the community and raised much needed awareness of TBI.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

how amazingly friendly the people are. They are not above anyone and will help everyone they possibly can.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very honest, loving, compassionate, helpful people.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Start facilities, and expand their groups worldwide.

I have worked in the field of brain injury rehab for about 20 years. I am very aware of the struggle that families face following the diagnosis of one of their members with brain injury - it can be a devistating and life changing diagnosis. I met the founders of Brainstorming 4 Us a number of years ago and since that time I have come to admire and respect the tireless efforts of the founders and their volunteers towards making the lives better for family and patient following this diagnosis. They have raised awareness, raised money, developed a wonderful support group and have developed notebooks full of valuable information that they provide to hospitals for families. There is such a great need for services particularly for those without adequate insurance and Brainstorming 4 Us helps when families don't know where to turn. The founders have personal knowledge of the devistation of brain injury and through their committment to those also walking that pathway they have made a big difference in many lives. They certainly have touched my life and continue to have my complete admiration for what they do and what they have accomplished. I hope they continue to find support for their efforts.

My work with brain injured individuals as well as in my work with professinals that have benefitted from their "family notebooks" that they provide at no charge. I have been involved with their fund raising and awareness raising campaigns.

The husband of a dear friend suffered a traumatic brain injury as the result of a motorcycle accident. After years of struggle my dear friend was introduced to Brainstorming4Us. They provided vital information and, more importantly, support for the caregiver. After seeing my friends hopelessness turn to hope, and then to strength, and then to help for others, I was moved to become a supporter and a donor.
