As a Scout myself, I only later became aware that the Boy Scouts of America openly discriminate against atheists and homosexuals, and both boys and leaders - those are their "values". If those values seem appropriate to you, then by all means press on. Those were not the values I remember being taught, however. These days, there are alternatives for boys, and I recommend those alternatives unequivocally. Though I checked the box below that says "I agree to the Terms and Conditions" of this site, I find it ironic that one of those Terms/Conditions is that I may not: "use the Site to promote bigotry or discrimination against protected classes", yet this site promotes this organization which DOES do that.
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
its intolerance of all American citizens.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
replace the entire executive staff and ban sponsorship of troops by religious organizations.
