This place is terrible. They are rude, disrespectful and uncaring. You will feel even worse than you did walking in. Steer clear.

Boulder Valley Women's Health Center is a wonderful, inclusive reproductive health clinic. They serve disadvantaged populations as well as fully insured women, men and teens. They offer a full range of reproductive health care and preventative care including birth control, std screenings, vasectomies and abortions in a safe, caring, non-judgmental space.
They offer sliding scale payments and never turn anyone away for inability to pay.
They are active in their community and participate in many local events, partnering with other local groups to support women's rights, gay rights, civil rights and human rights in general.

Women's Health was a great place for me to go after college. I did not have a job that came with insurance after college and i needed a place to to go for my health concerns and health wellness. They were so friendly and affordable. I am now back almost a decade later as a board member so i can give back and support a great local health center that was there for my when i was in need! Also the teen education program is awesome!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

They helped me access affordable health care and they have helped many others in my community.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

want it to be more visible in the community and for the community to know that all genders can be served and supported here.

Boulder Valley Women's Health Center is a vital resource for women -- particularly teens and younger women -- and men (yes, men too) who need reproductive and family planning health services. They are the only provider that has a sliding fee scale for these services -- which is in part why they need -- and deserve -- community support. BVWH Center also offers educational programs in area high schools. Great programs all around with experienced professional staff!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The increasing number of clients seen and program expansions to outlying communities.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Add more services for men.

I have been a Board Member of Boulder Valley Women's Health Center (WH) since 2008, and am now President of the Board. I joined the WH board primarily because of Susan Levy, who is the most dedicated and brilliant Executive Directors I have ever met. I was also a strong believer in the mission of the organization -- to provide comprehensive sexual and gynecological health care and education to girls and women of every age, income level and persuasion, regardless of their immigrant or financial status.

I attended a sexual health education class at Boulder High School this spring, and was amazed at the level of candor by the teacher and the students, and the quality, completeness and honesty expressed.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Observing the amazing compassion and quality care given to women in difficult circumstances -- having to make a decision about abortion. I had to get a "back alley" abortion in 1962, and no one should ever have to experience that horror.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

No changes needed

We reach women and teens who would not have access to reproductive health services, and we do so with incredible respect and sensitivity to cultural differences.
My very favorite aspect of our work is our presentations to high school students---over 270 last year. It's a credit to our staff
that students are so candid about their questions and issues. Imagine the number of teens we reach in 270 large classes!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The stories of some of the clients we've served. Many young adults speak of the days when they had no money or insurance, and couldn't have had services had we not been there.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make it more visible in the community. Despite nearly 4 decades of being here, many people don't know about us or see as as an abortion clinic, Abortion is only one of many services we offer.

Boulder Valley Women's Health Center has provided high quality health care to many who can't afford it. I appreciate that they combine education with health care services, particularly for teens.
