This group is about creating a world where every woman and her children can thrive free of poverty and great need. Our families and friends have tirelessly and generously supported us in this work year after year, making it possible to continue doing it. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, THANK YOU!!!!

Having worked for an international charity that focused on women and children before my retirement to Boulder 2 years ago, I was thrilled to discover BoldeReach. Each year the group vets various charities that aid women and children around the world before selecting one as its beneficiary of the year. The organization hosts a Gala where over 95% of the money raised goes to the beneficiary. By being an all volunteer organization with no staff or overhead, costs are extremely low. BoldeReach also hosts monthly educational outreach sessions called Conversations to raise awareness of international issues within the community.

I first discovered BoldeReach when it chose a charity I volunteered for as its beneficiary. Together, the two organizations held a very successful fundraiser, that gave a great boost to the beneficiary's work of preventing and freeing children from sexual trafficking. I was so impressed by the quality, candor, intelligence, and hard work of the BoldeReach Board that I was honored to be invited to join them. Over five years, I watched these extraordinary women devote their time, talent, treasure, and unfailing good humor to learning about, promoting, and raising funds for several terrific Colorado-based international charities devoted to helping our global sisters and our global children lead healthier, safer lives through: --microcredit loans, --clean water and sanitation projects, --rapid response grants for urgent human rights issues, --education and leadership classes for orphans and low-income children, and this year --bicycles for healthcare providers and low-income families I left the Board ONLY because of a need to focus on other areas of my life, but I could not admire this group of women more. They are role models for how to behave in a world that cries out for help, justice, and love.

I researched the results of Boldreach's funds on microcredit loans and rapid-response grants and was in tears reading of the powerfully transformative changes for the better such funds made in the lives of so many women and their families!

BoldeReach is unique as it offers a fresh approach to fundraising: There is no office or staff to pay. Over 90% of all monies raised annually goes directly to the organization selected to fund in any given year. It allows people with various skills to enter the organization easily. The educational component-from the intense vetting of an organization, to Conversations, a monthly program designed to enlighten people to the needs of women and children worldwide- is part of what makes this such a dynamic opportunity for people to volunteer their time and energy. And for an organization to be selected to receive funds from BoldeReach is an enormous boost to their bottom line and their ability to give to their constituents in that year.

A donor, on the Advisory Board, and have been an advocate since its inception. I have seen women helped in Guatemala, and I know of the good use a well in India was put to that my husband and I donated, and bikes to New Orleans, etc.

BoldeReach is a very powerful non-profit raising money for the most important causes. A small group of women and a group of volunteers together raises the bar for other organization's impact.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The inspiration and effect this non-profit has on its beneficiary has inspired me in my own organization.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the effectiveness and impact it has on it's beneficiary.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

exceptional hard working and dedicated individuals.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change even more of the world and future lives of women and children in it.

BoldeReach, a group of a dozen volunteers, has raised over $500,000 to benefit organizations helping women and children in dire need around the world. Our funding has brought water and sanitation to India, Malawi, Rwanda; education to Afghanistan and Kenya; microcredit loans to Guatemala; helped prevent child trafficking in Nepal and contributed to women's human rights projects around the world. We are hoping to expand our "reach" by helping others to replicate our successful model in other cities.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have seen first hand the profound impact of clean water and sanitation on a whole village in the Bay of Bengal, as well as the empowerment of the women who have received microcredit loans in Guatemala and the positive results in their families.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would love to see this model replicated. We turn over 90% of every dollar to our beneficiaries. We work with existing organizations rather recreating the wheel.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

A community of women volunteering to make a huge difference for women and children around the world.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

All the volunteers (there is no staff) are passionate about helping women and children in dire need around the world. They are capable, can-do women who have demonstrated their ability to make a difference.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Our model is so efficient that we could impact many thousands of women and children in desperate need. We don't create new organizations, we give good existing organizations funding to do their work.

Ways to make it better...

I only wish I had more time to devote.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Our biggest challenge is encouraging other women in other cities to replicate our model.

One thing I'd also say is that...

It is an incredible feeling to know that you can positively impact a woman or child halfway around the world. What could be more rewarding?

BoldeReach was started by a group of Boulder-area women to raise awareness and funds to address in a culturally sensitive way the health, safety and educational needs of women and children living in desperate circumstances around the world. We leverage our passion and connections in the community to support existing non-profit organizations which are already doing great work in the world. Each year we choose a specific issue for our fundraising and interview related non-profits for projects that match our mission. Once we identify and vet the organization and project(s), we build our educational programs and fund raising project around the issue and chosen recipient.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

BoldeReach produces results in two distinct ways: We empower local non-profits financially which allows them to focus on their mission. We empower women supported by these organizations as our funds go to specific projects that support both missions.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Expand the BoldeReach model to other cities to leverage the power of a small group of women making a difference in their community.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Seeing exactly where the money goes and who it helps.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very diverse and representative of the Boulder community.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Hire a small staff and have them support the creation of 'Reaches' in 20 other communities and produce 20 times the results.

Ways to make it better...

We could have provided more support for the growth of the board.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Being all volunteer requires that you carefully select every position.

One thing I'd also say is that...

We learn from our mistakes.
