I was coming out of a very dark time after my second divorce. It was time to go out and find my tribe. I received an email about an InterPlay Untensive Retreat that would explore creativity through InterPlay. My curiosity was peaked. I still to this day have no idea from whom this email came....but it has lead me on a remarkable journey of transformation, empowerment and leadership.
This organization supports a non-heirachical leadership structure and is relentless in addrerssing ways that anyone who wants InterPlay in their lives can have it. This has afforded me the ability to fully participate in a way that other 'pay in advance' programs wouldn't allow.
The people who are 'playing' within this organization are some of the most caring, concerned and fun people that walk the planet. They are deeply rooted in social justice issues and want the best for the world.
I would rate Body Wisdom as a Top 10 non-profit organization!
The Great!
- I've seen the results of this organization in... Participating in the Life Practices Program. This program gave me a new way of moving through time and space as a fully expressed, creative, vibrate storyteller and friend.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... The leading of InterPlay, InterPlay Untensives and going to Milawi, Africa with a group of 40 InterPlayers from around the world!
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... It is hard to distinguish staff from volunteers because everyone who I have meet gives their hearts to service in such a sefless way...the staff I know are caring, committed, dynamic people!
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... pay off it's debts, bolster its imfrastructure to hire the personnel needed to answer the need of programs that are wanting to begin in Brazil, India, Austraila, Germany, in prisons, in women's shelters, with Alzheimer's patients, and so much more...
Ways to make it better!
- My experience would have been better if... The written aspects of the program would have been better supported by the leader overseeing that aspect of the program. It often got left off. It was an important place for my writing buddy and I too connect more deeply in our process.
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... the adequate finances to keep it flourishing. There are so many fabulous applications that are waiting to be developed...capital, grants. etc. are needed to get this work out there more!
- One thing I'd also say is that... Humanity needs people who are great at playing and have the skills to innovate in order to continue the grave work ahead of us...living in harmony with nature and people different from ourselves. InterPlay is a leader here...
