I just met Rabiah and learned about Blue Horse a few months ago through a mutual friend.

I had been away from the community for nearly 30 years and then cloistered with in home care for my ill father so I had no idea that we had anything of this type around. Nor could I fathom the scope of care and work that is so needed yet so often neglected that is being done not only here but throughout the state and even the country.

Rabiah is totally dedicated and committed to the care, safety and rehabilitation of not only the specific animals that are fortunate enough to come to Blue Horse but also using her knowledge and connections to place other animals with people and organizations in other areas. In addition to that she also works closely with different community organizations to help them place and or care for animals that come into their control.

A short visit to "show you some horses and let you look around" was proof of some of the words spoken by others here. This facility not only helps the various animals that it touches but also numerous people that come in contact with it and them. Because of that and the limited choices of roles available to describe my relationship I say here that I went from Volunteer to Client Served.

I was given Rabiah's phone number by a friend and called her to see if she could provide any help to a very neglected horse. She immediately sprung into action and was the answer to my prayers. This horse was taken from a dismal and dangerous situation to one of utmost luxury. Rabiah rescued this horse and provided her with a new stall, beautiful, safe surroundings, and people who cared for her. It was clear that this horse who had spent 8 years in extremely cramped isolation, was now free to run and live a glorious new life. If not for Rabiah and the work she does, there would be no solution to ending the abuse of this fine and resilient animal. We are so fortunate to have Rabiah and Blue Horse Mukwa to turn to. She makes the world a better place for humans as well as animals.
