My experience over the last 1 yr 3 months with BHUMI has been one of a roller coaster ride... tremendous satisfaction coupled with loads of challenges, moments of joy and disappointment...knowing fully well the beauty of its vision and the huge amount of patience and persistence needed in this journey.. its really testing at times, but a journey worth every bit of it. I have personally delved deeper into myself and also seen the hidden potential in each one of us emerging in our daily work, apart from the novel projects and the impact BHUMI is making on grassroots. In that sense , BHUMI is truly emerging as a Centre for Transformational Leadership. BHUMI - Its the place to be! :)

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

mentoring and tutoring efforts at govt schools, ongoing personal transformation in its members, intervention given to babies with developmental delays

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

involve more professionals and lay emphasis on balancing work and personal life such that they complement each other

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the impact its making in the lives of so many people associated with it

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

enthusiastic and honest

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

go really far in implementing its vision in a short time period

Ways to make it better...

we, the core team, was better trained in managing projects and we had experienced professionals in the field of fund raising and marketing

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

sustainability

One thing I'd also say is that...

Be a part of BHUMI to experience all that you've just read and much more!

The only fuel that is driving bhumi is the high energy and true conviction in creating sustainable transformation in the world around. The High Energy that always flows in the group, Degree of conviction, the humble noble vision, and being a perfect place to fail... not just in words but i already saw how people welcomed my failures.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The dronacharya and ekalavya program, the mentees of govt. school kids joining engineering and coming back as mentors.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

floating in the energy of teammates everyday

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

individuals desirous of being leaders in some or the other aspect of their life.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

spend on innovative and creative ways to generate 10 Billion out of the 10 million...

Ever since the dream was born in 2006, every living moment has been that of boundless joy. Not to mean that there havent been failures or frustrations.......but for these failures we wouldnt have learnt what we did and the faith that we are on the right path continues to grow. Envisioning Bhumi and then mindfully acting each day to fulfill the dream has given meaning to my life.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

1. Tutoring Mentoring Program 2. Slum leadership development 3. RTI workshops 4. Self Help Groups formation 5. Health workers training

The joy of seeing kids from slum take admissions in engineering as a result of the tutoring mentoring program and then joining the program as mentors. Individuals from slums emerge as leaders capable of solutioning to develop their community

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

People who are fearless in actions and committed to empowering communities.
