Bhumi is one organization that addresses the main problems in development of India,"EDUCATION FOR THE POOR".The drive carried out by Bhumi is so good that it reaches even the remote villages. My Experience recent experience with Bhumi is when I went for a Inauguration of Computer center in a remote village that located nearly 80 Kms from Chennai and you can hardly reach the place by a public transport. One thing that moved me was Bhumi had setup a well equiped computer center where getting a electricity connection is a big deal. The students had a lot of zeal and interest for learning and am sure they will reach horizons. One thing that struck my mind when I left the place is that "BHUMI IS DOING A GREAT JOB FOR A NOBLE CAUSE AND I MUST DO MY BEST TO HELP IT"

There is a famous saying in Tamil that "Its better to construct one school rather than to construct hundred temples" People here in Bhumi knows the value of education and the impact that can create in a man's life. I hope thats why they had chosen this path of educating the future pillars of India. Though i am not a volunteer in this, Most of my friends are working actively in this task.

Hi, I work for a MNC and as a part of our Social Responsibility, we have decided to adopt a Government School and help the students and staff from this school in ways that was possible to us. We have conducted many activities in school with help of Bhumi providing us with the necessary directions. Bhumi has provided us with the strongest support for one of our Key initiative in the School – Spoken English Classes for students. When we decided to coach the School Students in Spoken English (Students where from Tamil Medium and could barely be able to converse in English), we have not idea on how to materialize the plan. Some of our volunteers, who were also part of Bhumi’s other programs like Kanini, helped us get in touch with Bhumi’s MAD volunteers. Bhumi from then onwards has taken the responsibility to see that our volunteers has sufficient training to conduct these classes in the school and also see that we have training material which they tailor make for our students. Their course is designed in such appealing way that both students and our volunteers are more raring to go for the classes. Together Bhumi have been the best guiding path for us and our programs. We are now in our second year in this initiative and Bhumi has been steadily supporting us. We are much grateful of Bhumi to have not only spread across such wonderful initiative to see a bright future for India but also helping out other NGO and Corporate Social Groups in realizing their dreams. We expect Bhumi to come up with more such Ideas to enhance the Next Generation and also providing strong support to other CSR’s.

I know some of my friends who work for Bhumi and the things they've done through this organization are exemplary at best. It is heartening to see such noble acts to protect the innocents being done by college students and the elderly like at times when we are "supposedly" getting more distant and self centered. Keep up the good work Bhumi and continue to do the human race proud.

one of the most important things that plays a vital and integral part in the development of a child is direction and guidance. generally it is the parents duty to ensure that the child has direction in his/her life so that they may stick to the straight and narrow and not drift to the darker lesser popular paths . but our society has become such that there are many who unfortunately do not have the love , warmth and guidance of parents due to certain circumstances and this is where great efforts like Bhumi come into play . making sure that these children have a solid foundation to build a blossoming future on . Hats off to the founders and kindhearted volunteers behind the scenes of this organization for all their compassion and dedication that gives hope to so many of the nations parent less. Bhumi has been doing a fabulous job for the last couple of years and i do hope that their light will not fade from those in need !!!

Even though i have not actively participated in the events of Bhumi, i can vouch for the services rendered by Bhumi for the society in general and humanity in particular. NGOs such as Bhumi play a vital part for the needy. Thats the way essentially Bhumi has grown. As the saying goes 'Service to humanity is service to God', Bhumi's work is highly commendable. I wish Bhumi all the very best in its future endeavors.

I came to know Bhumi through my niece. In a country like India, where millions of underprivileged and unprivileged children who didn't have even one square meal, taking care of them and to educate them is a herculean task for any Govt which has to be supported by the NGOs like Bhumi.
