Target demographics: We aim to provide enhanced quality care for the physical and spiritual lives of individuals with disabilities of any kind. Children - adults of all ages.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Serving over 2000 people with disabilities
Programs: We offer opportunities for individuals to serve and spend time in the communities in which they live. Many individuals supported by Bethesda volunteer at non-profit organizations, sell food at farmers markets or spend time at nursing homes visiting with residents. Individuals also enjoy attending festivals and concerts. Bethesda group homes are set in the community, offering individuals the opportunity to enjoy everyday life.
We also offer vocational training and Day Services programs to people who are supported in our own homes, those who live with family or those served by other providers. Individual's abilities and preferences determine the activities in which they participate. In some cases, jobs are discovered through the newspaper or arranged by case managers. Then, individuals are matched to positions through a process that determines their skills and interests. Some have Bethesda job coaches, assisting the employee and employer, others work without assistance.

I'm so sorry to hear about MrsBills story and yet SOOO impressed with how she rated Bethesda. I am glad to know a Christian ex-employee has such a great attitude and that both he and his wife would rate Bethesda so high. Being an organization of several thousand employees, it's not easy to have such high ratings unless the org is that great at their focused business. I have heard great things. Your honest review is telling. You say you would volunteer there again. My prayers are with you and your husband in finding a new job. AND - I am going to support Bethesda in the future.
