Bethesda Green is a vital and innovative paring of community, business, government, and residents of all ages and interests. BG is bring the diverse components that form a community together to form a 'great' community, creating the support systems that will ensure Bethesda's future development. Given proper funding Bethesda Green could make Bethesda a living model for future city development.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Community, business, residents, govt

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Surround myself with great volunteers and people who wanted to give my NPO money.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The people and learning what I can do to make my community a more sustainable place.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Well informed and committed to the effort.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Make Bethesda a blue print for future city development.

Ways to make it better...

if proper funded

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding

One thing I'd also say is that...

If people, business and the govt don't take steps to live in a more sustainable manor communities will suffer.

Bethesda Green is a wonderful initiative, just completing its first year, to make Bethesda, MD a trailblazer in the area of building and maintaining a sustainable community. It is on its way to creating a great model for other communities to follow!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

..absolutely revolutionize the way in which a city could run in as completely a sustainable manner as is possible. Bethesda Green has FANTASTIC ideas and has already put some things in place that seemed farfetched or too difficult to implement (such as recycling bins throughout the downtown area!) and would be able to do wonders with this imaginary 10 million bucks! Oh the possibilities...but just watch. Bethesda Green is quickly, efficiently and intelligently making strides!

Bethesda Green is unique because it brings together all the stakeholders in our community - business, government, and residents from retirees to students to parents. We are all working together to make our community better through programs like recycling, biodiesel, green schools, sustainable foods, and more. We are making our community more sustainable and this busy, metropolitan small city is really acting like a small-town community now. We're all getting to know each other! I've met so many great people through Bethesda Green and had so much fun - what an incredible, empowering experience!

A very ambitious venture to try to make Bethesda, MD the greenest community in America. Starting with purely community involvement and a shoestring budget, BG has already made an imact in its first year of operation. The orgnaization shows much promise and should be around for a long time doing much to increase sustainability in Bethesda, throughout Montgomery County, and across Maryland and the National Capital Region.
