I related to one of the members of the Kingdom Chamber of Commerce of my wife's dealing with terminal colon-rectal cancer for the past 2 1/2 years. Even with catastrophic health insurance from Horizon BCBS, there are many additional costs that we had to pay. Our entire savings account was wiped out. Last year alone I paid out $32,000.00 in medical expenses. I explained that we are many thousands of dollars in debt. We don't own a home to be able to dig into it's equity. My business sales are way down due to the economy & because looking after my wife is a full-time job. The Kingdom Chamber member referred me to Carla at the Beauty Foundation & I followed her instructions to apply for assistance. Approximately 1 1/2 weeks later, a check arrived which almost made me cry because I was trying to decide whether to pay for medical expenses or the heat. Those of you reading this review who have the ability to donate to this wonderful organization would be doing a great service for fellow Americans who are in my position. If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
not make any changes. This organization's kindness, understanding, compassion & ability to provide assistance to where it's needed most does not require any change.
