They may have good intentions, but their follow-up on customer calls, and emails are sub standard. Lets just say that Ms. "C" has never responded to my concerns regarding a Beagle we had to surrender to the shelter back in 2007. My kids have always wanted to know how our former pet, and family member of 6 years was doing. We missed her, but circumstances forced us to give her up. I am very unhappy on how our concerns were never addressed, and our sincere feelings ignored. There's a few reviews on a site called ripoffreport.com that my be of interest to those who are about to embark on a quest to pet adoption. Sorry, but it is what it is. As for Ms."C", I hope you are reading this right now, because you have failed the test, and am issuing you, and your facility a big fat red "F"!

Our beloved elderly beagle Eunice passed away in December of 2005. A week after her passing, we went to Beagles and Buddies. We wanted to rescue two older dogs so we could start to mend our grieving hearts. We spent the afternoon with Connie and the wonderful Beagles and Buddies volunteers. We adopted Chester and Geneva, two wonderful older dogs. Seven years later, Geneva passed away from old age. Of course we went back to Beagles and Buddies to find a new companion for Chester, and that's when we got our precious Maggie.

We consider ourselves lifetime members of the Beagles and Buddies Family. We will always adopt from them. We respect and appreciate the caring and compassionate work they do to save dogs.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them more resources and more donations so they could do more of their wonderful rescue work.

I adopted my first beagle, Bone-Jovi “Buddy” Boo in 2007, after losing my BFF (beagle friend forever) Crawford to cancer in March, 2005. I was actually at the dog pound looking for a dog to adopt and just happened to see Beagles and Buddies in the parking lot that day loading about a dozen dogs into a truck, all of them were on the list to be destroyed that very day but instead, Beagles and Buddies was there to rescue them. The dog I was interested in adopting from the shelter was among those rescued. I went to B&B the next day to adopt the white and blonde gal but immediately connected with Buddy (formerly Google) who was running about the grounds, playing with his pals with a personality that I could not resist. I was so impressed with this rescue group that I decided to become a volunteer and have since adopted 2 more Beagles one of whom was 9 when I adopted him, now going on 13. I have seen first-hand that unlike some non-profit, no-kill rescues who only rescue “marketable” dogs, Beagles and Buddies routinely rescues those who are wounded, ill or elderly as well as those Heinz 57 mixes…many of whom may never get a second chance because they are disabled or not pure bred. This rescue group is honest and sincere in its consistant efforts to rescue and rehome shelter dogs and adopt them to the most befitting home. If a dog is not adopted it will stay at the sanctuary for life, hence the small pack of seniors living it up in their golden years in Apple Valley. Many lives (in the thousands) have been saved since it has been established and many more continue to be saved by the energy and efforts Beagles and Buddies. I pray for more funding support and volunteers join in this effort, especially B&B's new neighbors in the Apple Valley community, so that this shelter continues its operation for many more years to come...how many more lives will be saved as a result?!!!. Thank you. - - Kathryne, Buddy, Scooter and Cricket.---- "We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop." -Mother Teresa...
