B.A.S.E. Camp has a two-fold meaning: First it is an acronym for Believe, Achieve, Support, & Educate. Second, it symbolizes the encampment that is set up at the base of a mountain that is about to be climbed. We feel that AIDS/HIV, cancer, sickle cell anemia, hemophilia, and other rare/orphan hematology diseases are just such mountains in children's lives. Our members are patients, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters. We provide programs on an ongoing basis, at no charge to our familes.

The small staff of BASE Camp work around the clock to support and bring joy to the lives of children afflicted with cancer and their families. They are the most caring, devoted, tireless workers on earth. They do more actual good with limited resources than can be believed. Terri and Jackie sponsor numerous events for the kids, bring food to children in multiple hoppitals, and have created a unique enviornment where kids with cancer can have wonderful, affirming experiences with their peers. Truly Amazing!
