The BWA is the official network of the world's Baptists. It is truly global and spiritually and ethnically diverse.

The Baptist World Alliance has:

Provided introduction to the most dynamic, remarkable, faithful people I've ever known;
Allowed an intimate window on the world of what God can do, even in difficult circumstances; and,
Taught me that the ultimate, essential Gospel of Jesus Christ goes anywhere and everywhere.

In short, they make me happy and proud to be a part of the Baptist Christian family!

We are pleased to support the Baptist World Alliance and the global mission this organization pursues. Our church budgets annual mission support for the BWA, and we also support BWA as part of our own monthly giving to Christian causes. The BWA is commended for transparency and faithfulness to the mission of Baptists worldwide.

Our church supports the Baptist World Alliance and its humanitarian program, Baptist World Aid, because we trust its leaders and their partners around the world. The BWA is characterized by respect, compassion, effectiveness, accountability, and integrity. Especially for those who feel marginalized or powerless, the BWA offers meaningful connections with a larger family of faith, practical help, and hope.

Our church receives an annual offering for world hunger which we send to Baptist World Aid, the relief and development agency of the Baptist World Alliance. Our gifts are used to respond to humanitarian crises following natural disasters, civil unrest, and other situations of great need. We have confidence that our donations are used efficiently and conscientiously to alleviate suffering and provide practical help. Because the Baptist World Alliance has trusted member organizations and partners in over 120 countries around the world, there is a minimum of overhead and a maximum of cooperation.

The Baptist World Alliance is my favorite charity and I am happy to help others through them. I know they inspire and uplift people at their meetings, especially their Congress, and I have experienced first-hand what it is like to be in a Baptist worship with people from 10, 20, 30 or more countries, and all of us singing the same hymn in our own language! This is the only organization I trust for relief and development work overseas, because they work through Baptist churches whenever they can. I am happy to continue to support the BWA!

I became acquainted with the BWA a quarter century ago and was recruited for involvement because I am a professional historian. I got to know the organization well and respect it for its global range of activities, open-minded approach to issues, and the uniqus personalities that comprise its leadership. It does not a lot of money, but it uses its funds wisely and has achieved a great deal with the resources it has. It is an exemplary ecumenical religious group.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find ways to reach out to every self-identified Baptist body in the world; granted an impossibility because of the sectarian nature of some Baptist groups.

Would you volunteer for this group again?

Definitely

For the time you spent, how much of an impact did you feel your work or activity had?

A lot

Did the organization use your time wisely?

Quite well

Would you recommend this group to a friend?

Definitely
