My week with Bais Chana was fun, positive, friendly, supportive, educational and very memorable. It was great to get some good quality girl time!

Bais Chana is a warm place to come.... when you want to learn, grow, be inspired...and eat well:) With many types of women from many different places, everyone is encouraged on their own journey. In the year that I worked at Bais Chana, I got to see many women and teens make changes and gather the strength to implement those changes back home. Relationships for a lifetime, inspiration for a lifetime, Changes of a lifetime.

Learning in Bais Chana was a wholesome experience for me. It was everything together, the beautiful physical location, deep thought provoking lectures, great food, and meaningful discussions that made it a wonderful place to be.
Discussions and lectures ranged all topics from morality and the purpose of life to mortal man and the finality of death.
I feel like the Bais Chana experience allowed me to walk away a more thoughtful mindful and possibly moral human being.
With the possibility of running on a much larger scale Bais Chana's positive impact can reach that much further and enrich many more.

Allow more people to participate at once. Increase the number of sessions and locations.

Bais Chana, specially, the snorkel and study program was one week filled with inspiration, life and beauty. Although it was just one week, it was through this short time which enabled me to not only dive into the sea, but dive into the heart of life, which is Torah.

In an ever changing world, remaining grounded and directed and true to your values and morals is often difficult. Caught between what society dictates and what our values erg us to be, finding peace is often difficult. The world demands so much, who are we, where are we going ? where do we come from , Where do we begin. Our life is a Journey and we are constantly seeking growth. Having been involved with Bais Chana as both a student and a volunteer I personally have been touched by their love and devotion to each individual no matter what their circumstance is in life. Bais Chana, stands strong in encouraging women to be empowered by the values of our Jewish Heritage. Through learning about modesty, the role of a Jewish women , one becomes empowered by the beauty in the responsibility of being a women.
No matter how long you are there for , Bais Chana provides structure and core values in dealing with life's challenges, helping women stay strong and true to their Jewish Values, empowering Jewish Women to build strong and ever lasting connections to Judaism, that inform our every day lives.
For me , there programs were life altering. It gave me the tools to navigate my way through life as a Jewish Women, staying strong to me heritage and my values.

Ensure that they get huge financial support so that they can continue doing what they do with greater measure and reach more people with more programs. Changing the lives of many women for the good.

This past summer was my first year as a volunteer at Bais Chana! It has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had! Bais Chana is a warm place with total acceptance! Every person there was so kind, friendly and warm. The learning there was exceptional! Ask any questions and get ready to be blown away! We all walked away inspired, rejuvenated and ready to start the year!
Hinda Leah Scharfstein, the program's director is very caring and makes sure the program is top notch and everyone's need are well taken care of. Rabbi Manis Friedman, the main teacher, is fascinating. His knowledge of the Torah and his delivery is exceptional!
Bais Chana is a place that every person should experience!

Bais Chana is the kind of place we all call home. On my first trip, I was greeted by a group of women and girls of all ages, sizes, and colors sitting around like family. What was most notable about the group was its diversity and acceptance to people of all kinds. We were all there with a common goal: to learn, to understand, to change, to live. Bais Chana was the perfect place for that to happen.
Hinda Leah Sharfstein, the executive and administrator of Bais Chana, as well as the rest of the staff, are fully aware of the importance of one's spiritual health and learning Torah. Hinda Leah does all in her power to ensure that anyone who is remotely interested or open to learning can be a part of the program, regardless of financial woes or what not. She lives as a service to others in need and devotes everything she has to the success of the program. As the voice of the organization, it is her that one can look towards to define what Bais Chana is: a humble place that helps a proud amount of people.
Rabbi Manis Friedman, the heart of the program, teaches in a unique and special way. His unusual wisdom and immense knowledge make the classes stimulating, interesting, and a challenge too. From him, we learn what a Jew is, how to love God, and what it means to have a soul. He also devotes many hours to individually helping his students with his extensive experience as a Rabbi helping people and with his knowledge of homeopathy.
Bais Chana is a program like no other. It offers help, guidance, and love, to women from all walks of life. When we leave Bais Chana, we leave changed. We leave as renewed individuals. We leave with a deeper understanding in life. We leave living. We know what we are doing here, and we know why.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would spread the word and make sure more people reap the benefits of such a wonderful program. The only other change I'd make would be to pump in some more money because almost everybody comes on the program on a scholarship.

Wow I was amazed at all the learning that took place when I went to a Bais Chana. They helped me so much and I came home and helped my community out after because I was so felled with good infromation and knowlegde of little and big things I could do.

I currently work with College aged students and have had wonderful experiences sending them to Bais Chana. They return, empowered, excited and stronger in their identity and sense of self. The facilities and accommodation are top notch, the staff is warm and caring.

I really loved Snorkel and Study. It was life altering and all together a positive and challenging experience. I recommend it to anyone who is looking to learn what it means to be a Jewish woman in her twenties.
