Wonderful cause. It is amazing what the owners Bill and Mona Rutget do to rehabilitate animals and how they return them to the wild. The Education Center is very helpful with teaching adults and children about how they help injured animals and take care of those that can not be released back into the wild. Over 2500 animals are in the Center year round.Donations are very important to the survival of this business. The owners do not recieve monetary reimbursement or wages. All donations help with feeding, medical needs and housing of the animals.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

person. I visited this organization over my vacation and saw first hand the work they do to reabilitate animals and care for injured animals. They educate many students in school about how to take care of nature and the threat of endangered species.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

BACK TO THE WILD® is a volunteer, non-profit wildlife rehabilitation and nature education center located in northwest Ohio. Its primary mission is to rehabilitate and ultimately release into their natural habitat, injured, orphaned and displaced wildlife.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very polite, patient, and knowledgable about their cause.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Feed and care for more animals and education thousands of students and adults about preserving our natural environment and habitats.

Ways to make it better...

More money was donated to expand their habitat areas.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

They need more donations. The are fortunate to have many volunteers but would like to see them have enough funds to hire more paid staff to run the day to day operations.
