In keeping with our company's collaborative approach and philosophy, AXIS strives to keep both our teaching teams and our Dance Access classes comprised of people with and without physical disabilities. Our Dance Access outreach and education program includes ongoing classes for adults, children and youth; master classes and intensive teacher trainings; performance labs; lecture demonstration; residencies and pre- and post-performance Q & A's.

The dancers in this company are wonderfully talented and committed. Yet the company has a history of high turnover in dancers and the even more unsettling truth that nearly every dancer that leaves the company leaves bitter. When people are devoting their lives to an art form that takes a toll on their bodies for very little money, it would be nice for them to be treated well and feel cared for while on the job.
