The Achievement Center of Texas (ACT) is a Center that is near and dear to my heart. In addition to providing loving care and support for children and young adults with Autism, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, and other disabilities they provide hope for their families. I have personally seen children who could barely function blossum and thrive with the interaction from the staff, directors and each other. It is truly remarkable to see the kids learn life skills they thought they would never be able to achieve. My own grandchild who has autism spent several summers in their day camp and it made such a change in his life that I have been involved with ACT ever since. ACT is now in its 35th year of providing life-changing little miracles every day. Darlene S. Taylor-Thompson, MD
