Asian Women in Business is a great organization. The support I receive on an ongoing basis is tremendous. AWIB has helped open doors to many major corporations and I am able to network with corporate members and other women business owners. AWIB has a variety of educational seminars to help small business owners. I highly recommend this organization.

Asian Women In Business (AWIB) has an excellent multidimensional approach to helping small business owners. I found the procurement conference to be fascinating; I had the opportunity to experience up-close the dynamic conversations between small business owners and company representatives. In addition,I have learned a great deal from AWIB's workshops. AWIB hosts a wide variety of workshops such as Effective Business Writing, Networking, Trademark, Copyright & Patent Basics, Social Media, and Starting Your Business 101. Furthermore, AWIB organizes networking events that are fun and helpful. AWIB does an excellent job at meeting new people, bridging connections and helping its members foster important working partnerships.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seminars, networking events, board meetings and conferences. Each event is stellar, not only in content but also in the presentation and organization. There are great venues, amazing speakers and topics that are cutting edge and relevent to the times.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

get more women involved as members and as board members. This is an organization to be shared by each and every Asian American woman who is either running her own business or on a corporate path.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the wonderful women that we meet at each and every event. The women are bright, beautiful and so much fun.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

INCREDIBLE. Where on earth does Bonnie Wong find such wonderful people to work with her.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Have an international womens conference. We could offer scholarships to young women with the bright promise of leadership. We could have huge networking events.

Ways to make it better...

we could get more people to become a member

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Fundraising is always an issue. It would be wonderful if more members could reach out to women who would enjoy membership and to corporate sponsors.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I love this group!!

I have been a member of this organization for some time now and its role in my professional and personal life has never seemed to wane. Their workshops and conferences have taught me invaluable lessons on public speaking, marketing, and starting my own business. Furthermore, their receptions, food tastings, and shopping events have allowed me to network, try new things, and make new friends. The Asian Women In Business staff are friendly and very supportive! There’s no other like it!

Asian Women In Business (AWIB) was critical to me when I started my own business in 2000. I got excellent advice, moral support and a sense of community from a network of like minded women. This is the only organization I know of that serves such a broad range of creative women and the variety areas in which one finds Asian women entrepreneurs is enormous and AWIB has played a key role in fostering many, many of these women

I recently helped out with 2 events. 1. Public speaking event where participants garnered public speaking tools to utilize to enhance presentation styles and effectively communicate with peers, colleagues and supervisors. 2. Procurement conference - an annual conference which included panel discussions regarding how to procure M/WBE certification, winning government contracts, etc. It also included private matchmaking sessions with corporate buyers and information exchange from government and private exhibitors.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the opportunities to see immediate results from your work - meaning the smile on a woman's face after she performs a great public presentation after attending one of Asian Women In Business's public speaking seminar.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very courteous, gracious, knowledgeable, and kind. They are always smiling! They promptly respond to queries. They truly believe in the organization and their excitement trickles down to the members.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Open chapters across the country helping Asian women small business owners and business and corporate woman everywhere. Currently the resources limit this because of the necessary staffing needs to oversee such.
