I have found this to be a great organization that really brings people of all different races together to celebrate the Asian cultures. I participated in many of their festivals and found them to be very worthwhile and entertaining. Every event that I have gotten involved in is an experience that I will never forget.

My younger brother is a volunteer for this organization and about a month ago I had the opportunity to experience one of their community events firsthand. It was a small scale event but I was impressed by the way it was conducted. First of all the activity engaged the participants in a fun way that many other Asian activities often don't. I'm an Asian American myself and in my personal experience most 'cultural activities' are kind of boring-usually the most exciting being running to Chinatown to get some food. The kids involved in this activity were given materials and being shown how to make hand-made lanterns for the moon festival. Secondly, it was a truly multicultural event. There were people of many different races in attendance and I was touched by the willing participation of people from so many backgrounds. I'm not a member of the organization but this one's got my vote. If I were still in high school I'd definitely volunteer.

This is an amazing organization that brings different Asian cultures together to share their traditions with each other and those outside the Asian community.
