Armor of God is committed to lifting up the military in our community through classes, support, religious services, and a Christmas party during the year. My experience is with the Christmas party they do for the reserve unit and their families each year. It is incredible to be part of serving dinner to group of a thousand and participating in the fun activities with them.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
None. The group of individuals that lead this ministry are all X military or have families in the military and they pour their hearts and souls into what they do. Their events are highly organized so that one can just focus on the job at hand. They are also very wise about how they spend money. They stay focused on the money being used in projects that directly serve the military.

What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?
Again I say none. They are so organized that they make it a joy to serve because we get to really focus on the people we are serving. I have volunteered in many ministries over the years and put this experience at the top of the list for the joy a volunteer gets to experience in doing something that has so much impact for the military and their families.
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
I come away with great affection for the military and their families. I have gained an appreciation for who they are and what they do to protect us. The humility with which they serve this country is a lesson to me about how I need to serve others.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
Serving in this ministry fills my heart with joy.
