I met the people of ARM about a yr and a half ago.. I have since fostered, and adopted a horse through them. There is nothing these animals need that they dont get. (from supplements to surgery). If the money is not there, it appears when needed whether through a quick fundraiser or out of the pockets of those that run the rescue. When they say they are on the road or at a site..They are! These people are not sitting behind a desk pushing orders. They are knee deep in crap cleaning stalls and cleaning wounds, cutting up bad fencing, repairing and assisting an overwhelmed owner while placing animals and on the other end of the lead line while animals are freaking out from thier situations. They do it all!! And they are the ones who see the situation from start to finish. This is an excellent group of people and a pretty small group of people that get an awful lot done with the resources they have. I applaud thier energy and efforts. A well deserving organization when it comes to donations.

I am a farm owner with 30 years experience in taking care of horses. I have been to Terry's farm and have seen fat, healthy horses. Terry gives her all, unconditionally, to helping horses sometimes neglecting her own needs. I am always amazed on how ARM gets the job done on large herds that needs help. And it doesn't matter if it's one horse or 50, she is there. She has helped me tremendously in caring for my senior horses, her wealth of knowledge is tremendous. I know if I have a problem with a horse I can depend on her to take the time to help me. She is one in a million. JnL Pocono Stables

Terry does a thankless job, often fighting against regulations that allow animals be be in horrible situations. She has been responsible for the improved life of countless horses, Arabians and others.

There is NO criticism in the four star review i left, it is simply that in this time of
economic depression and great need, Terry and ARM are sometimes spread too thin! No one person can do all the good that she does, so she had to rely on others, and I believe at times she has trusted too much.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have seen many of the horses that have been rescued by this organization. I have seen the gradual but constant improvements made to the facility, and i have observed how hard they work to rescue and find good homes for the animals that need their help

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Well, they need more space and money :)

Terri has been a member of the horse & Arabian community in our area for as long as I can remember! I remember as a small child watching her show her horses in competitions and now she is giving the greatest gift possible back to these majestic, noble animals by continually rescuing, rehabbing & re-homing them. When the horses previous "owners" toss them aside like trash, Terri is always there to pick them up, get them back on their feet & loved again & sees to it that they find new loving forever homes where they will never have to wonder when and if they will see food or light again!!!! I was amazed at how easily she agreed to take in a little Arabian gelding that I found at a kill pen - she networked & fundraised for his bail, and I was able to contribute some bail money & picked him up & delivered him to Terri safe & sound! He was free from that darkness & stench of the kill pen that made me cry myself to sleep that night.....And now....he is a beautiful young man that is going to make someone an incredible little horse when they find him a new home! The Arabian Horse Rescue Mission is a dedicated rescue that keeps the horses in their first sight, and all the hard work in their second sight!!! Way to go everyone, and thank you for being a safe landing pad for our beloved equines! Michelle

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The love they have for the horses & willingness to go to the extremes to save them!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

ohhhh...the possibilities!!!! Maybe put a giant dent in the horse slaughter pipeline..... OR... Set up a humane euthanasia fund & facility for those owners who dont know what else to do but send their horses to auction??

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month
